It amazes me how many Pompey fans still don't understand the three points deductions you've had. 1) 2010 -9 points for an insolvency event in the Premier League 2) 2012 -10 points for an insolvency event in the Championship 3) -10 points for diluting a failed CVA from 2010 with a new CVA in 2012 It is daft for Trevor Birch to suggest that the club are being punished twice for the same offence. They are three offences, all of which should be punishable. For Birch to think getting 75% of the creditors of the 2010 CVA to agree with the new CVA to stop the points penalty makes no sense. Nor has he explained why they don't have on record who the creditors from 2010 are and why they made a public appeal. All very amateurish from a professional administrator, the details can be found on the Hacker Young website and surely should be on record at Fratton Park! A creditor in 2010 that was owed £10,000 was offered £2,000 in the original CVA over 5 years. They didn't recieve a single payment of that money. If the 2012 CVA goes through, that £10,000 becomes a mere £40!!! If the latest CVA goes through the club have effectively written off over £150 million of debt (rougly £40 million of which should have gone to the public purse HMRC). The -10 points it will receive in League One should be considered getting off lightly. Other clubs have received heavier punishment for failing to exit administration with a CVA. - Bournemouth and Rotherham United had -15 points for exiting without a CVA, plus another -2 points for it being the 2nd administration. Making -17 points in total. What Pompey are planning is effectively the same (if not worse), as they agreed a CVA then made no payments on it and are now massively diluting it two years later. Yet they only get a -10 point penalty in 2012/13! Plus they have the cheek to think they should be able to challenge an already light punishment. You should all be grateful they didn't apply the same logic that they used for Rotherham and Bournemouth and hit you with a -19 penalty! -15 points for failure to exit the 2010 administration properly and -4 points for it being the 3rd time Pompey have been in administration.
It amazes me that you have managed to read through this thread and come to the conclusion that Pompey fans don't understand the 3 lots of points deductions. As well as being a researcher are you also a school teacher? Just wondering because of your patronising attitude.
That's it Mark, make a rude comment about one of Britain's best loved glove puppets - how low can you get ?
Actually Pieking, I was sticking up for poor old Sweep, not dear old Fred. .....and yes, I do have all my own hair..........
I was just thinking that too. Just had a look his last post was 28-06 !! Probably he will come back at the start of the season.
Fred maybe a old slap head, but I wouldn't mind showing his daughter a bit of the old Duck magic. Is she a member of the Few, cause that could have some bearing on it? If she is maybe she could follow that other batty women in Parliament and start badgering Cameron on your behalf. Talking of which, has old Baldylocks pledged his 1k yet?
Honestly, Duckhunter do you actually read any comments from Portsmouth fans before making statements like these? The majority of us think he's a complete twazzock, nothing at all like a knight in shining armour, personally I think I may even boycott Fratton Park if Chainrai gets in again.
