Savic fouls Torres, the free kick goes City's way and from that play Ivanovic gets harshly sent off. It was a red card in my view but doesn't change the fact that if the referee had adhered to the rules, Brana would never of had to have even made the challenge. It's Chelsea so I'll watch it but the game has been ruined now. Interesting season ahead if this bollocks about not being able to tackle continues. I predict something like 120 red cards
Kompany clearly stepped across him, blatant yellow, Savic was lucky not to pick up a card for the Torres incident and De Jong went in for a challenge not too much different to Ivanovic's and it wasn't even blown as a foul, it was certainly a hell of a lot more of a foul than what Lampard got booked for. Put the toys back in the pram. I think tackles like Ivanovic's shouldn't be worthy of a red but in the modern day of breathing on a player meriting a yellow it's a risk to dive in with two feet like that.
Make yer mind up The Savic one was a foul to neither in my opinion, Savic was seeking to make it difficult for Torres to get past and Torres ran into the back of him and pretended that he was caught in the face. If you think that's a foul Terry wouldn't last 20 minutes before he was sent off. Ivanovic's tackle is pretty much a text book example of a red card. Anyway it's a nothing game and the ref saved Ramires from a match ban by not sending him off at the end and he's been your best player in nearly every game since RDM took over.
Question is where were the supporters i suppose if it is north of london the southerners don't bother!. Wembley was built in London to suit the MP's etc and did not give a stuff about northern supporters, and being built in the most traffic congested place in England!. i remember the 6 am start for the 1990 play off final, back home 18 hours later.

The Red card plus 8 yellows in a game that was played without acrimony makes me wonder where the game is going! Chopper Harris would be spending the entire season suspended if he was playing these days! Mark my words the game will suffer if they dont ease up!
