shropshire star have said wolves have today confirmed they turned down a bid from west ham for jarvis of £9m, £6m up front and £3m in add-ons. meaning a 15% sell on fee to gillingham would of been £1.26m lets hope wolves are realistic and realise they won't get a much better offer
I'm worried that because they sold Kightley they are clinging onto him. It would be a horrible scenario if he was forced to stay with them and he's shifted in january for half the fees that are being offered now...
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11699/7982271/Jarvis-asks-for-move. Hopefully a move back to the premier league soon. Maybe Jarvis and Bertrand in the England squad by the end of the season
Wolves manager has confirmed that Jarvis wants to leave! Lets get the deal done and our 15% in the bank, although I would think that if West Ham do buy him for £9m it will be over 3 years and we will get 5% a year for 3 years!
that being the case, don't expect him to join west ham then, because wolves won't except what they demand spread over a 3 years period...no way.
please excuse my ignorance ( if things have changed ) - but aren't most, if not all, transfer funds paid in installments ? ( as would be the case for any large fines imposed on a club ) - so, as I see it - not a problem, because if we need to spend money on players this also will be by installment.
i may well be wrong always, but when wolves state that they want more than the £6m west ham offered upfront then i'd be surprised if they do it over 3 year installments thtas all.
g4e- I have no 'inside' information - but I have heard the installment method of payment on several occasions - even in the Premier league. Of course each deal will be different in their detail. The permutations are innumerable - and lets not forget the initial period is all about haggling. wolves have turned down an improved offer of £9.5m from west ham with £6.5m upfront plus £3.5m in add ons. they want in excess of £10m and most upfront....thats most upfront alwaysright and not installments don't see west ham improving on that and think wolves are on a loser with asking for anymore !
Dang. A championship team turning that down certainly speaks volumes...I really do hope he's playing premiership football again next season though, far too good for the championship.
it looks like west ham are maybe now going to offer sam baldock as part of there package deal to wolves for matt jarvis...should it happen, surely that changes our chances of gaining 15% of £10m = £ 1.5m thoughts ???
I saw stuff in regards to this on twitter earlier today but could not find any reports to back it up until now... http://addickschampionshipdiary.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/wolves-continue-to-chase-sam-baldock.html
BBC website are today reporting that Wham have bid £10m for Jarvis. Fingers crossed. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19342136
I don't normally promote other sites but this one appears to suggest the Matt Jarvis deal has been accepted, although I can find nothing anywhere else to confirm at this moment in time...http://gillsconnect.com/s/Gills_New...ERS_SIGN_MATT_JARVIS_AND_GILLS_EARN_1m .html?
