Match Threads

NNW has done a great match thread for the Capital One cup game yesterday, thank you NNW.

With the season now here, i think we should make a definite decision about who will take on this task, and try and emluate the high standards that Ak has set. We did have a whole conflab about who would take on the task of doing match threads permanently and a few people did offer. I think we should make it a definite person, rather than all of us hoping someone else will do it. I do remember My Name is D offered, as did i, and perhaps NNW will put his name forward? What do we think?

 

Hopefully someone will carry the baton that Ak has been holding for so long now, I wish the person/s taking this only success

I'm happy to do away games, and let someone else do home games? That's partly because I don't want to do 50, but also I think it's good if the thread creator is able to update during the match.

 

Can you H, I thought I was quite subtle...........I wouldn't know where to start tbh

 

I don't mind doing a few but I'll be too busy to do all of them unfortunately

 

I can't do them - pie and I have an agreement with youngest that when it's a Sat 3 o'clock kick-off, we're not to know what's going on until Final Score starts. It was initially to stop how pie and I were feeling winding him up unintentionally and then him having an AS episode more easily if something then upset him. Now he's had all the help from school, I think it's just so he has more time watching what he wants on tv!

 

Do you think you could do some of the home games?

 

I'll have a go but I'll already say that I won't be able to do the first two home games of the season as I'm away

 

Ok, well it looks like we'll just have to take turns ...that's okay.

NNW, could you do one for this saturday?

I'd like to thank in advance the person, or people, who do them.

They always make the matchdays at work bearable and it is a good way for me to get more than a journalists opinion. I work most Saturdays so doing them may be hard for me.

Thanks again, if Watford come on a pre-season tour to Mexico I'll do the match threads ! or if everyone is really stuck I might be able to knock a quick match thread up.

 

I'll be happy to help if needed, my saturdays are usually busy though so I wouldn't be able to update the thread until I got home, but no probs when it comes to doing the preparation (if I can steal the layout off one of the old threads )

With enough warning it won't be a problem

 

I'm happy to let Hampshire do this one.

The more of us that are doing them, the less of a void there will be if someone doesn't want to do them anymore.

 

I figure if we just keep this thread going and whoever's the first to post to do the next one gains the responsibility.
It'll be a nice way to get everyone's takes on various games
