Press the red button and you could have watched the boxing, fairly straight forward innit?

Nearly Daley gets a bronze and the BBC News go completely over the top. Luke Campbell wins a gold and the BBC News don't even bother to mention it until near to the end....Says a lot about how useless the BBC is.

Maybe it's because he's both white and northern?

the BBC can eat my **** .

Last night in the early hours of the morning on Radio 5live there was a report about a russian girl punk band "Pussy Riot" being Jailed for singing songs that wern't too supportive of religion and Putins regime .
They then interviewed a band from the US that was performing in support of the band and in support of their democratic rights . . "war on women " i think they were called.

Aired at nearly 2am the presenter offered the US band a chance to sing a small section of the song , the Singer warned that their language might not be suitable for radio , the presenter told them to go for it .

They performed their song about freedom of speech and the BBC censored their words , i just found it totally ironic and another nail in the BBC coffin in my opinion :/

i texted the radio show exactly what i thought of their antidemocratic ways -

I've said my piece about the coverage of housewives favourite Tom Daley on the olympics thread but lets just say I agree with the general consensus.

Now this may be the sauvignon blanc talking, but it makes it all the more sweet that he beat the Irish. I'm very tolerant of all creeds and cultures, but there's something about the Irish when it comes to sport that really does my tits in.

I was always a competent sportsman but never even close to good enough to get my payback on a world sporting stage. So I had to get my payback in the only way I knew how. Yes that's right, I would seek out hot Irish birds and bang them. I have to say they were amongst my most satisfying of conquests. To think that while Seamus was busy on him potato farm and Boyzone were away on a world tour, I'd slipped in there to **** their unguarded women. Happy days. :emoticon-0176-smoke

Now Luke has finally achieved what I never could on a world sporting stage, I feel like celebrating in the only way I know how to...

No issue with that, it was the way it was reported afterwards that was wrong. Not only that but apparently Gabby Yorath stated on air that Lukes mother had passed away, which was complete nonsense and actually they got him mixed up with somebody else.

Just driven by the telephone box. Two blokes happily slapping on the gold paint with some bloke taking photo's.

Anyone know if it's going to be permanently gold or is it just temporary?

I hope it's permanent, it'll become a top landmark in the city and rightly so.

    Nice touch IMO.

Oh yes Luke, the boy has done good, and good luck in the future, I don't understand the complexities of boxing so don't know how Luke stands in the future of boxing greats, but I wish him well. He seems to be embarrassed by the fuss but he had better get use to it as he is now Olympic Champion in his particular sphere and will be, as such, adorned by the press, until the next Luke comes along that is.
