Yeah fair comment. What I would say is that my early impression of BR is he seems to be big on a players ability AND their character (Rafa was big on this too as we know). If we went for him I think BR would only bring him in if he felt he would get that workrate and improvement from him. Hope so anyway

On Twitter there is apparently a quote from Tello saying he would prefer to come to us if he left barca. Not sure how true but would be good business and if Sahin came ( although who would he bump out? Lucas, Allen, Gerrard seem to be the for sure starters).

He knocked out a boy today in the game with Celtic. Accendental just going up for a header but knocked the boy johnny sparkle. Just wonder where he would play though as for me who would for sure start but now with Allen in, don't think that would happen ( think that is where I was going with that earlier).

I'd be a tad disappointed to see the likes of Shelvy, Suso etc pushed further down the pecking order by a loanee I must admit. I suppose Suso is probably a year off yet and there'd be a fair few clubs interested in taking Shelvey on loan but I'd rather we use him as our back up.

 

Agreed, I feel we are over-looking Suso a bit when we should be grooming him to break into the first team. Shelvey grew so much as a player from his loan so can see the point in letting go on one.
