Simple idea, give your top 3 for man of the match, I'll keep a record and at the end of the season we'll have a winner For me: 1 Stewart 2 Cairney 3 Koren
I second this; I thought Shearer was top draw for them today just like he was for Crawley against us last year. HOWEVER... going on our MOM 1,2,3; it'd have to be 1. Dudgeon - thought he was outstanding yet again 2. Stewart - Much MUCH improved. Almost scored a cracker in the first half. 3. Chester - Other than 1/2 iffy moments, once again I thought he was outstanding. Also, hats off to Nick proschwitz. Didn't have his best game by a long shot and missed another sitter; but to come up and take a penalty infront of your home fans and roof it in the net like he did was class. Hopefully more to come. Shame I can't go next week
Chester - if he isn't playing for England in a year or so then there is a problem Stewart - very good and actually looked like he wanted to do something Proschwitz - made some very good touches and his passing and vision is supreme along with his strength.
Dudgeon Chester Stewart/Fryatt (Fryatt and Stewart beginning to look like their old selves) Special mentions for maclean, macca and (dare i say) bruce for sold performances for a portion of the match
1. Stewart - Deserves it for setting up the goal. 2. Chester - Would of got number one if it wasn't for two mistakes that could of been punished by a better side. 3. Dudgeon - Has improved his defensive side massively since last year.
third time i ve seen proschwitz, and i really think the jury is still out. however i ll give him the benefit of the doubt as when he isnt holding up the ball or missing sitters, he shows some promising touches. i also think we have our new penalty taker. germans dont miss em and i reckon his pen today was pretty much unstoppable
1. Chester 2. Stewart (seemed to be back to his old self, taking on men and beating them, was unlucky not to score) 3. Dudgeon However bad point of today's game, I think was Amos as he didn't seem very dominant in his box and distribution was poor, also Proschwitz seems like a bit of a sulker arguing with Bruce when he was making him go back for a corner + he got no service today!
to be fair to steve bruce, i believe he has acknowledged that he is short in centre midfield for service i suppose? he went with the best he had today although debateable whether koren should started down middle
Scott shearer used to be my neighbour...helped him move into his first flat...nice lad....sorry, but not alot of people know that...
Yea i think we 3 good players of having a good promotion push: 1. 1st priority should be a who can create but also defend as if he was playing alongside Koren in cm wed be exposed 2. Another winger 3. Another quality striker
That's what I was planning on doing, but with polls you can't do 1 2 3 and fans from other clubs can take the piss with votes, so I thought this was the best way. I'll count the votes Monday night/ Tuesday morning and post them on here.
We obviously need another winger, even though I believe we have two excellent ones, you need some back-up. (As said before, would be nice to still have Garcia around the place). As for the midfield, remember that we still have Evans. I think that Koren and Mckenna would be an excellent pairing in midfield, Evans is very good, and Cairney can do a job too. Wouldn't be too interested in another CM myself. Same goes for strikers - Fryatt, Proschwitz and Mclean can do well in this league. Simpson is more than capable back-up should we need it. Unless we was to sell one of those, then I wouldn't be too keen on bringing in another.
ok fair comment. shame really. seem to remember all kinds of interactive stuff like that on an old entertaining huddersfield board
