Very happy with the clean sheet, though it sounds like if it was a league game we might have conceded, hoping that will settle down a bit more with a couple more weeks of the players together. Diouf is getting a fair few positive comments on the phone in, but it's they'd never read out the negative ones that I imagine are flying around!
yes i do mean it, but you may have to change managers to achieve it though. but good luck. i gather our new defender hector was responsible for 3 of your goals and one of our strikers, morgan , was moribund. it seems the shrews may have to make a few changes before saturday otherwise our return journey to yorkshire may prove another drubbing, this time by sheffield united. 2 games in yorkshire, 2 uniteds= arggggh! er floreat salopia!
Warnock has just said that he wanted to keep the Diouff situation under wraps but Simon Lenighan tweeted that Diouff was training at ER earlier in the week. Warnocks gonna have words with the lad on Monday....
I'm ****ing glad Diouf got booed, only right we let it known what we think of the pathetic excuse for a human being. If you think it could cause problems by dividing the fans, well Neil "hypocrite" Warnock should have thought of that before he signed him.
My mate who went gave his opinion - Obviously only one persons take on it... Summary: Kenny - I was so impressed with his distribution and made two crucial saves Byram - nervy but when Leeds went 2 up was one of the better players Pearce - shakey through out really poor Peltier - awesome! Varney - average not once went past his full back good touches Norris - awful awful and...awful Austin - arguably man of match after first 20 broke up all their attacks he's a beast Green - pft hopeless Ross - very very sharp man of match Becchio - also looked sharp constant nuisance Also said if Shrewsbury had went 2-0 up after 20 minutes we could not have complained, very slow out of the blocks....
Eddie Gray was waxing lyrical about Varney, very impressed, and Norris didn't get a bad review at all. Austin classed as great first half but faded out in the second, with Byram and Kenny taking most of the plaudits. So, not convinced that this assessment is something I would take too seriously. Plus it's their first competitive game and there were a lot of players out there making their debuts. Give them 5-8 games and it will give Warnock an idea of who can cut it and who is struggling
Get used to this player summary, the fact is players such as Pearce, Norris, Varney and Green were not that good anyway, hence they played for lesser clubs in the Championship. Q: Is Norris possibly one of the worst players to ever wear a Leeds shirt?
