Good point about Walcott, but I think he can still contribute across the whole of the front line. I can understand the points made about Dempsey but I hope if we do sign Dempsey/Ramirez/Walcott we STILL sign one more striker because we currently only have Suarez, Borini and Carroll as recognised strikers, we also have to appreciate Borini is young and may not be adapt quickly to the league..

Edit - Might do the fantasy league again, was pretty good last year to be fair.

Or I might just set it all up with the thread and stuff and let someone else take charge, also of the private LFC supporters league (The one which requires a code sent through PM) as I might not always be available.

If it were me, I would have Adam Johnson instead of Walcott. However Daniel Agger must not go in the opposite direction. He's key to our pressing and slick passing philosophy.

I agree with the Agger point he's our best defender. Don't really want Johnson or Walcott. I've been told Johnson has a poor attitude in training, lazy bugger that's why he doesn't start.

Ahhh... the UN... The only organization that likes to call people with guns going round shooting other people "PEACE KEEPERS".

/ actually glad we have a UN - just find a lot of irony in things they do.

I want us to sign Walcott... but most of that is because I'm really stubborn... I've been saying we need to sign him since he first breezed on the scene- years ago when Rafa was the gaffa. Funny how the public opinion of him goes up and down over the years though... one minute he is England's saviour- the next he is utter trout... then he is wonderful again, etc...etc.. Usually depends on what the media is telling people they should believe.

Me... I am too stubborn to change my mind... I still think Derek Asamoah is the world's greatest player for what he did at Chester.

Ah thats okay, I would have set one up if anyone asked. I'll make a team soon and don't worry, I'll be more than competition ;)

I'll have a look at it now <ok>

    Hi luv!

Adam Johnson is good but I don't like his attitude and question his consistency as it hasn't really been tested. On his ability alone I'd take him, but the days of taking players based on their ability on good days has led us to signing players like Adam (Not so bad) and Downing. (I'll give Henderson and Carroll a chance because of their age)

Yeah, same reason I don't like Adam, its also the fact his happy sponging off the wage bill whilst he warms the bench, I'd take a tenth of his wage to do that for City though! Just lack of ambition (From the player). I know his at a big club, but when good young talents are happy to sit aside, claim medals they barely contributed towards, makes you wonder.. (Although a new challenge might give him some motivation)

Yeah, his a good player is Walcott, has alot to offer, if he does sign he'll be glad not to be up against Jose Enrique this season! (Apart from training that is)

  14. Doesn't that suggest inconsistency...?

Personally, I don't want Walcott at Liverpool almost as much as I don't want Michael Owen! I know it was a harsh analysis by a pundit but I completely agree that Theo is a athlete in football boots <ok>

Well, if you're gonna be stuck somewhere, what better place is there?
It seems to be the only (relatively) sane place on here at the moment.

    I did say relatively.

I assume you're referring to my lack of input on the rest of the board? I've been in the west of Scotland for a month where the internet is just a rumour so I'm a bit out of touch.
I came back on here to catch up so I've read a bit but haven't got too much to say. The sheer lunacy that was the baz thread was something to behold though.
I saw the second game against Gomez or whatever they're called and I thought we played really well. I missed the first leg because the silly jocks couldn't find it on their telly.
I'll probably get going again when I snap out of my Skye induced stupor, so be warned.
