    Should be a mention for Cavendish and the rest of the cycling team too, it was a great team effort, they all worked hard to help each other out.

    Yeah, but Cav being the holder will unlikely get in the top 10. I think team of the year will probably go to the GB cycling team though.

    Agree, think most of the contenders will be Cyclists. At the end of the day, 3 cyclists were double gold medal winners, without mentioning Wiggins, Pendelton and the girls who broke 6 world records.

    Wiggins - TDF + Gold
    Trott - Two golds
    Hoy - Two golds
    Pendleton - Gold + Silver
    Murray - Gold + Silver + Wimbeldon Final + ???
    Ennis - Gold + general being Ennis
    Farrah - Gold + ???
    Dani King - Gold + Many world records (team pursuit)
    Dujardin - Two Golds
    Adams - First womens boxing gold

    That top 10? Would be a cracking lineup, but I can see them having more than 10 contenders this year. Least it's better than it being full of golfers and darts players <laugh>

    Fair few in town watching Olympics on the big screen, not a seat to be had.
    Lots of cheers for the boxers, nice enough to sit out until evening, until the revellers arrive.
