and the rest of the uk says " who gives a ****" by the way why do people keep pretending your a woman when its obvious your a little boy in your old dears basement?
Ooooh. Rangers might scrape a draw here. Good solid start too the season for them, then Fecking Peterhead
I had to admit I thought they'd struggle to compete with the quality of the opposition but hats off to them. Peterhead are one of the favourites for the title so a great point for The Rangers.
Can you imagine if the transfer ban had actually stood? Would be too funny. I hope that contract offer for Mr Mccoist is still on the table.
In years to come, historians will look back on the first ever competitive league game for The Rangers Football Club and recount that they couldn't even win the game in the lowest Scottish domestic league. Bless.
Well, that was exciting in a masochistic kinda way. As far as I can tell from the radio commentary we were lucky to get the draw. With both teams, and especially Rangers, wasting a barra load of chances it was probably the right result, though I doubt Peterhead would see it that way. Somewhat embarrassing for us that a well paid professional team couldn't beat a part time team. We could say it was a lack of pre-season preparation; we could say maybe our players thought all they had to do was turn up (particularly our defence). But who the **** knows. Anyhoo, the adventure proper is under-way.
The problem for your team this year Gambol is that every side you play against treats it like a cup final. Although many say the same of the SPL, it's not that true anymore with clubs having played each other about 40 in the last 10 years or so. These clubs have maybe faced Celtic or Rangers once or twice in the last 20 years. Add in to the fact that you are facing this with 19 year old kids, rather than the European internationals that you would have in the past and no match will be easy in Div 3 this year,
I have to disagree with a lot of that. They are not facing these teams with "19 year old kids". They have a team packed with SPL and/or international quality players. The back four today, albeit mostly ****e, have more than 150 international caps between them. Lee Wallace alone cost £1.6m. They also have the likes of experienced players such as McCullouch, Shiels and Black and were able to put on Kyle and Sandaza as subs. Contrast this with Peterhead who started the game with a 37 year old Robbie Winters and have a team consisting of fish filliters, oil workers and office clerks. They train two nights per week and one of their subs who came on late in the game often misses games due to work commitments. Rangers are a full time team who train three or four days a week and earn at least 10 x as much as the 'head players. Rangers finished the game with NINE internationalists
