Morning I see a lot of people who are against the death penalty tend to use the miscarriages of justice as a justification/reason for not having a death penalty. Whilst i agree that in cases where there have been miscarriages of justice an innocent person would have been killed, and that would be a traversty, I dont feel that this is justification/reasoning for not having the death penalty. Its more a reason for sorting out the mess that is the 'justice system' where such misacarriages are allowed to happen. I know there are exceptions to most rules, however, in the case of the majority of the miscarriages of justice it usually ends in those within the justice system having lied/misplaced evidence or simply beaten a false confession out of the victim.

If I had my way the ****s who lied etc in these case would be dead As I said miscarriage of Justice usually carried out by those who are supposed to be the beacons of justice
Maybe you should have a long hard think about why the death penalty is being more and more concidered as a "barbaric legacy of the past." Do some research and you might just enlighten yourself a little.
Fan what advantages does the death penalty bring? All I can see is there being a slight cost saving to the state instead of a lifetime of incarceration. It certainly doesn't seem to have any effect in the lowering of homicide rates. America has the highest rate in the civilised world.
We could offer all the auld ****ers a witch to burn instead of a winter fuel allowance. That's some good ole fashioned Toryism right there
We should bring back the death penalty, but only for one crime at a time. This crime would be selected completely randomly and would change weekly. So one week it could be burglary, the next week murder, then criminal damage and so on. But don't tell anyone which crime is capital and which aren't. Keep people on their toes.
I agree that there should be justice for those murdered by Sharia after being raped, "dishonouring" the family or not being Muslim
If they drown, they ain't witches. Anyways, the death penalty means people like you ****s sitting on a jury, deciding who lives or dies. Reason enough not to bring it back I think...
Jury only decides guilty or not guilty, prosecutors decide whether they want the death penalty, judge decides if convict gets death penalty.
