http://www.theshortfuse.com/2012/8/10/3234375/alex-song-barcelona-arsenal-transfer-rumours? I was going to go through all the transfers that Castles has got wrong, but the above article puts it in a much better way.
I didn't realise they still owed us 12 million! I knew they owed us cash, just not that much. Why is nobody on the board asking for our money, we seem content to let them not pay us what they owe us.
Not a caption, but wow, that looks like an unhappy man suffering with being overcome with his Barca DNA.....
aparantely arsanal want to sgn heskey to replace van persie. They are trading one donkey for anoter lol
Not the best source in the world (ok, probably the worst) but caughtoffside are saying we're after Isco for £8 million. http://www.caughtoffside.com/2012/08/10/arsenal-to-attempt-8m-capture-of-new-fabregas-as-wenger-looks-to-land-malaga-youngster-isco/
yeah right isco wud sign for your mob. If he moves to england, he will come to the best team in london
This is actually quite ironic, as spurs are so desperate for a striker it wouldn't surprise me if they did sign heskey haha
RVP to United and Welbeck on loan to Arsenal for a year. Not going to happen but rumours yesterday sprung up because welbeck didnt travel to germany. Also some of the ****e by COYG is laughable. RVP coming will in no way effect Welbeck or Hernandez. They are kids ffs and still have a lot to learn. They can only benefit from learning from the best strikers in the league.
Agreed, no body should have to look up to Wayne Rooney as a role model. It's just not fair on them as developing players.
If van Persie were to join Manchester United, either Welbeck or Hernandez will suffer later on in their career. van Persie will be around for a good few years, he'll be playing into his mid 30's still at the top of his game, much like Bergkamp, and as he is hitting that age, Welbeck and Hernandez will be entering their primes, so one of them will not get the game time required to fulfil their potential.
Welbeck played more games than Fergie wanted him to last season, similarly Hernandez the season prior. We want to make both into the complete strikers, neither are there or anywhere close. Hernandez went backwards and Welbeck may do the same after a long season and a busy summer. We need to take our time with them, rather have them on fire at 24/25 than rely on them as our main strikers ( yes they are our main strikers as rooney is a secondary striker by rights ) than have them turn out as good players from now on. Each will get planty of game time, each will learn off the 2 best strikers in the league.
all irrelevant as I'd bet my hat we won't sell him to United. In fact I believe he'll stay with us at least this coming season and possibly longer.
