What a waste of money!

£15million for Allen! Liverpool have just completed the signing of Joe Allen from Swansea for a reported £15million.

What a joke. They are the biggest money wasters in the league;

Carroll - £35m
Henderson - £20m
Downing - £20m
Allen - £15m

That is £90m on four average players!

 

Wan't that long ago they had Alonso, Mascherano and Torres. Get the feeling theres some kind of 'Trading Places' experiment going on!!

 

I have to say I agree - seems an awful lot to me. I believe that Downing was an amusing 22mil by the way.

 

And Allen is the one Taarabt beats with ease.

 

I've never rated Downing. Never an end product with the guy, but he gives the impression that he believes he's the bollocks.

 

Add these:

Charlie Adam - £7m
Ryan Babel - £11.5m
Robbie Keane - £20.3m

That's another £38.8m. shocking

 

Uber if he was right footed he'd do well to get a game in the Champioship!

I posted something similar on twitter earlier. Joe Allen is 21 with limited experience and cost 15 mil. Their rivals United paid 12 mil for 23 year old Kagawa who has won 2 Bundesliga titles and was selected in the European Media Relations Europe Team of the Year for last season.

Ridiculous waste of money and so many better players around for less than £15mil

 

They had to pay 15million to trigger his release clause......mugs!!!

 

Allen joins liverpool for 15 million...simultaniously weakening both teams..top job !
