Im warning you. My knowledge on Swedish football is excellent. If you manage to scrape through you'll be doing well.
I always kind of thought it was a bonus if any Scottish team actually got through to the group stages. I always remember McLeish's team being the first team to get past the group stages. Ironically it was during the worst run of results in th history of the club Then the tic achieved it the following two seasons if memory serves me well. Bizarrely both sides have had far better teams that failed to qualify for the group stages.
I dunno folkes, they have a stadium capacity of 17,200 which means they are 1.7 times as good as that Helsinki mob
They're not a bad side, but we should still be beating them. They struggle to score many, but look not bad at the back in the couple of games I watched before the Euros. Don't know if it's still mostly the same squad though. A nice score draw over there would set us up for the win.
There is no sound football reason why we should not qualify but then football results do not always reflect sound football reasons. I am just wondering will those dates remain, I hope that crowd from Govan are not playing at home on the 28th or 29th of August in a mouth watering tie. I agree at home second should help and with the Swedish expertise on and off the field we have another advantage over them. Just, the one thing I don't understand how the double contracted Rangers mob could not have qualified against the type of teams last season, as I expect us with obviously no cheating to progress this season.
Nice to see some confidence for Celtic, but I'm a bit more pragmatic (ok, miserable!) about our chances. I know that we should be beating teams like this, but all too often on the Euro stage we fall flat on our arses against teams that we should have beaten. We have the skill to get us through we just need to be smarter about how we deal with the opposition.
Celtic have an average squad age of 24.20 years, the squad cost a total of £23,500,000 to assemble. Helsingborgs have an average squad age of 27.30 years, the squad cost a total of £75,000 to assemble.
Is this true? There should be no excuse. I think Lennon should think about his future if Celtic get knocked out.
