Bolt wouldn't stand a chance when they mark down the pies in Tesco... I have seen shape shifters move so quickly that time stands still ... like a scene from Inception ... I lost ten minutes last week and still have time travel wobble

Good point about it being clean...

Did anyone actually see this live? How do we know it wasn't pre-recorded and shown on TV at an increased playback rate

Don't know whether the Jamaican team are on drugs or not. Can't even assume the non-medalists aren't. All we know is that medalists are invariably tested after the event...

Don't know whether modern performance-enhancers are as obvious as the days of Johnson et al. He certainly looked very tight with bulging eyes when he won gold. The Jamaican runners last night looked anything but tbh: pretty loose and cool by comparison - and endlessly playful at the end. The cynics will no doubt think of a 'scientific' explanation for all that entertainment.

How many of our Brit golds d'you reckon could be put down to the contents of their cuppa tea? No idea. That's for others to deal with. Doesn't even enter my mind when I'm glowing over our place in the medals table.

    Essentially what your saying is:

If you can teach a fat person get out of the blocks fast, then their vast waist size should block at least the lane adjacent of theirs either side, thus stopping the atheletes in adjacent lanes being able to run past them, without having to step out their lanes and get an automatic disqualification. 3 Fat British sprinters in a race should be able to hold the rest of the field at bay

That would work in the cycling as well - so logically, if Victoria Pendleton was a twenty-five stone boiler instead of the svelte piece of lushiousness she is in real life, the Aussie bird would have bounced off her and she'd have won gold instead of silver....

Being half Jamaican myself I am still thrilled.

I thought the BBC's coverage and insinuation that black athletes don't have to train or work hard was shocking though but heck that's for another day,

Feel for Blake though but Bolt is just too good. Bolt can be beaten in the 200m IMo but on form like this not the 100m
