We've added four quality players thus far...it's only because we got so much business done early that this current lull is felt to this extent. Being two or three players away from the finished article with three weeks remaining in the transfer window is hardly unusual.
Indeed, we need to enable the media get moist and excited in the final 24 hours as is tradition...which is as you say it only a mere 21 days away. However I fear some of our fans will be on the cardiology ward by then
We could have signed lots of players if we weren't selective and wanted aged ex-PL players. NA and NC want young talented players who are better than what we have and will fit into the team. However, although we have a decent amount of money, we haven't money to burn. Despite that we have made 4 quality signings and I'm sure we will get at least 2 more.
That's the key Fran. We want players who will fit into the clubs vision. I'm still confident we will land at least a couple more in te next week or so.
I was wondering if our lack (or so it seems) of activity in the CB market was due to the player being involved in the Olympics. Wrong again !
Dunno, but he's big enough to be a centre back. And he wont be caught for pace. And he's availiable on a free transfer. **** me, I'm a genius!
No, but I can imagine that with the press' focus on the Olympics, a. prospective deals can be discussed quietly and privately, and b. none will be announced until afterwards, when the media are interested again. Norwich or Swansea were not particularly active in the transfer market before their time in the Premiership, whereeas QPR were, so this doesn't really bother me - other than believing, like many on here, that it would be nice to have some defensive cover; and I'm also not enjoying being starved of the excitement of the transfer hunt.
2 cbs and a winger to sign by the end of the window I reckon. A cb before the City game and the latter to be bought on the 31st.
