    Can I ask, what has Niall Quinn done right? When the mackems asked for top class managers, they got Irelands No.1 Dog Walker and Agent Bruce. When the mackems asked for top quality signings, they got Clattermole, Agent Bramble and Zenden. When the mackems showed their support by cheering on their beloved apes from the pub, they were branded despicable by their own chairman. When Quinn then bullied them back into SoS, they were treated to a home defeat in which they only had 1 shot in the whole game.

    So can I ask, what has he done?

    I do think that the mackems are disillusioned by him sometimes. He saved their club and he has a lot of personal connection to it, so they all bum the **** out of him for that. However, in reality, he hasn't made the best decisions.

    Roy Keane was a gamble, but he turned the bottom club in the Championship into Champions inside a season. And Bruce has a very solid, if unspectacular, record. And who did they replace? Howard Wilkinson, Mick Buxton, Terry Butcher?? We had success (and failure) with Mick McCarthy and Peter Reid, but you make it sound like Brucie's a step down. Compared to Pardew replacing Hughton, I suppose?

    And saving the club from bankruptcy and bringing in an owner who's spent millions and converted it into shares (not debt) doesn't count for much either? OK he moans a bit, well quite a lot actually, but he listens to fans and has the best interests of the club at heart.

    Know who I prefer...

    We all know he's a million miles better than Ashley but just wondering what he's done that you all boast about him for, when the only thing I've seen of him is complaining about attendances.

    It was a question of what Quinn has done, we all know Ashley is a nugget.

    Ellis Short will clearly lose faith if you finish where you are now. Honeymoon period is well and truly over.

    This. We all hate Ashley and know he's a waste of space, but lost as to why you all suck Quinny off when he's don **** all for you.

    The best thing he's done, apart from save us from bankruptcy and an owner like Ashley, is stabilize us in the Prem. We yo-yo'd for years and we've been reasonably solid for a few seasons now. We don't suck his knob, but we don't go around protesting while he paints shop signs on the roof either.

    Hi AB. Yup - four games so far; four defeats. I'm thinking of changing his name to Jonah! Last one was WBA at home - came up for the weekend. Fab weather, shame about the football!
