Stopped reading on Saturday when fans were turning on Quinn and Short!!! A lot of new threads to get through, the usual childishness from certain craas to avoid. A better if again tactically inept performance from Sunderland is now history. At least we now know the lads are up for it, they just need to be guided in the right direction. (I'm sorry to say Bruce is no longer the man who seems capable of guiding us.) I assume BDU is history, especially as 7 of the 13 no votes were by Mags? (I just hope FIVE GAYS doesn't take this as his opportunity to disrupt every thread.) Wigan to come at home. If we don't win this one, clearly Bruce is not the man to take us forward and would be a totally unacceptable loss. I stand by what I said awhile ago I think we need at least 2 wins from our last games. If Bruce can't get those 2 wins in our remaining 3 home games his position would be untenable!
Can't argue with that. It would also be nice to be able to say STFU to the mags with an extra 6-8 points or better.
I think it is all coming down to our next two games MR. Lose one or both and I simply dont see any options left for Quinn and Short.lose them both and I would like to think neither would need to act and Brucie will decide for them. A bigger concern is what if we win them both and end in the top ten? I hope, and I'm sure I would be right, in thinking that some big questions will be asked. For me, I said on an earler thread, this week is all about a win on Saturday, its all I am looking at, everything else comes later.
Life of a Sunderland supporter mate. We build up over the week to turn up match day on a high, yet with that niggling are the ****ers going to let me down again thought!
My two proudest moments as a Sunderland supporter. Also two of the best adrenalin filled games it has been my pleasure to watch. One we won one we lost. 1973 and The Charlton play of final.
Daft thing is, for all the hurt, I'm still looking forward to Saturday, even the bad days are all the better for being amongst fellow fans, its why I'm on here
Understand all your concerns lads but a win on Saturday will see us climb the table and also see the confidence levels go up once safety is more or less assured, top ten is still achievable. This was always the aim of the club it was us supporters who got all excited when we were lying in 7th, top 10 is still a decent season.
I cant see us winning at the weekend, we have Gyan who has lost his shooting boots and noble and probably Richardson to help, if Bardo doesn't hit the net don't know where the goals will come from, Not bothered though, never want to see my team lose or even think about it, but if one more defeat gets rid of Bruce then i don't mind.
the good news roger is it's looking like 36,000 plus do care and WE will be cheering Bruce and the lads on to a win.
ILL CHEER THE LADS SYD BUT IT WILL STICK IN MY CRAW IF WE STILL HAVE THIS PLONKER IN CHARGE Never in my life have i been so indifferent about a win, of course ill smile if we do, but if and when we lose it wont hurt as much as usual, and that's the point
