Kos IMO is the 2nd best CB in the Prem. I think Kompany barely edges him. I thin Kos will be better than him this season though.
I'd put Kos about 17th or 18th in the PL, largely because we concede more goals with him in the team than we do without him.

Why would I be wumming? 1. Koscielny reads the game amazingly, which enables him to have fantastic positioning, in my opinion, the most intelligent defender in the league. 2. The stats that I posted show the amount that they made, both of them made a lot, and all though quantity doesn't suggest quality, with these two, it does. 3. I see them both get on the end of enough crosses and set pieces, you can't really prove any thing here. 4. Kompany is stronger, which is clear, but Koscielny is adequate. 5. We don't know who the better leader is, Kompany is the captain of his team, where as Koscielny plays next to Vermaelen and Gibbs, two guys who love to run about like headless chickens, besides, I saw Koscielny point some of our players into position more than enough times last season. 6. Same applies as above. 7. They both are. 8. Koscielny is one of the finest ball playing CB's in Europe, all though looking at it now, I think a 'Both' would apply to this one, as they are both very composed on the ball. 9. I don't know a better CB at reading the play than Koscielny.
It''s not a strikers role. It's a false nine role, they play far more deeper than a traditional striker and have a lot more freedom, plus they share the focal attacking duties with the right and left forwards, not wingers.
