The swipe bit was obviously about the thread, it was the bitching bit that I meant wasn't aimed at you. The thread was obviously a bit of a dig at Nick, which is fine, it was only the objections to me pointing that out I didn't like that dig at Nick that's at issue. You are more than welcome to take a dig, just as I'm free to object to it, it's just the suggestion that I shouldn't do so that I take issue with.
Are you Barmby by any chance because nobody dare say anything on here about him, nobody said you wern't free to comment, however as a moderator on here you are expected to set some standards and silly name calling is not setting standards is it? I could call you lots of names but I have higher standards than that as I expect a moderator to be the same otherwise what is the point of doing it if you become the same as the others on here, where are the standards? This whole Barmby issue wouldn't even be a topic if not for Bum Chins starting this thread. People like Chinny should realise that people have got their own opinions about the Allams and Barmby and maybe it's better not to keep bringing the issues up as it just leads to handbags as this thread is proving
I'm not Nick and as far as I'm aware, I've done no name calling on this thread(I said I thought the thread was a bit naff, but I hardly think that constitutes name calling). As I've tried to explain, I'm just a poster like everyone else, if there's an issue I try to sort it, but I rarely delete anything, I rarely ban anyone and I try to be the least moderating moderator in the history of moderation. I often wish I could just post without this accusation being thrown at me, it's a pain in the arse sometimes, I do my best to balance being just another poster, with keeping things in check. If I fail on occasion then I apologise, nobody's perfect.
Exactly. Now you're getting it. As for OLM, we disagree on almost everything Hull City related and he hasn't banned me yet. It's just sometimes when he says something like "I'm getting really ****ing tired of you moaning" it can be misconstrued as a threat of banning. Whatever, it's hardly a big issue. He and 99% of this board like Barmby (for reasons I'll never understand) others don't. People are bound to butt heads.

I'm a bit late to the party, sorry - it seems the fun has already started and ended without me. From time to time this forum really does become a joke - I may have to take another two week break until it calms down again - certain posters (not naming any names, Robo) appear to be more concerned with attacking other posters than discussing football. (aimed at Robo particularly) A moderators opinion should be considered no stronger or condescending than any other - we all voted for the mods - and they shouldn't have to set any sort of example, they're not our ****ing parents. I'd make a terrible mod, I'd be blocking people left right and centre for being pathetically childish little ****s. "He called me a hypocrite" Boo ****ing hoo. Not really true is it? If you didn't read it, you wouldn't know what it said in the first place. You have to read what's in front of you to be able to comment. It's your choice whether or not to like it and again your choice to comment. In response to the OP, I think MF is highly thought of by the Allams because, by their own admission, they don't know much about football. And you don't have to know much about football to see that Fryatt is a goalscorer. And goals win games. (just in case anybody was wondering about that....which they probably aren't) His relationship with NB sounded much like he was getting frustrated but didn't want to speak out as it would be disrespectful to both his manager and a club legend. I feel for him because he probably had to put up and shut up. On the other hand he did get 16 goals so it looks like NB's tactics weren't too bad. I'm getting splinters from this fence I'm sat on.
People know him, he's kind of a big deal. A few years ago on mad I used to like his posts, but the standard of said posting, I have noticed, has sadly deteriorated over that time
i think the majority of us can figure out when a moderator is doing their unpaid thankless job and when they are posting as a regular like the rest of us . The fellas here are doing a fine job , for the most part they dont have to moderate - thats down to posters content isn't it really - its not like things are being censored is it.
