what did I say? .....read below.

It doesn't matter how many months he has left on his contract, his intention is to leave and he wants to leave this summer.

As for you not having finished your spending, Wenger won't sign any new full backs or centre backs as he believes in allowing youth players a run in the team to progress and he is going to stick with what he has.

Wenger had no choice but to sign attacking players as his previous signings such as Chamakh were hopeless, as is park and with RVP leaving, Wenger has had to attempt to bring in players to balance the attack.

At the start of the season, both our squads are going to be fairly equal with areas which could cause concern and its going to be another tight race for 3rd/4th as I expect chelsea are going to struggle when they realise RDM was just a manager for short term circumstances but when left in charge full time is going to struggle badly.

It doesn't matter if he wants to leave or not, if the club will not sell, VP will remain either in the first team or in the reserves. <ok>

As for the matter of signing, you seem to know Wenger quite well. Sources inside the camp perhaps? We have enough money to finance players for whatever postion we want. It's one of the advantages of being a well run club. I'm glad you think you know what is going to happen in the few weeks that remain until the start of the season. We shall see.

If you receive a big offer then the club will sell, no doubt about that as Wenger is just trying his best to keep RVP but until a club makes a decent offer then nothing can happen.

The problem for RVP is that he is on the last year of his contract and has a history of injury problems so it will take a brave club (or one with too much money) to sign him, especially when they can get him for free in a years time.

  5. It's clear that (a) RvP wants to go to United, and (b) Whinger is desperate that he goes to any club other than United. Trouble is, AFC is being very greedy in asking serious money for a player who will be free this time next season.

I really do hope that SAF pays nothing for him. The Gooners have been due a stitch-up, ever since they got Judas off us for nothing. I call it Karma.

From AFC legend to their most hated player.

You can't make stuff like this up <ok>

I bet PESKIE is crying into his pillow as I write this.

I want him to leave Arsenal as it weakens them massively, however I hate the way Baconface is time and time again allowed to come out and openly talk about players that he wants to sign without punishment.

I don't blame Wenger for not wanting him to go to United and I hope he does a Levy and says to Van Persie that he can only move abroad for a big price.

Bacon Face offered a measly £8m for him - Wenger's now said that £20-m will get him...apart from Man Utd, who it will cost a minimum of £25m.

Now, in the past RVP has said he doesn't want to leave London, and if he's happy at his wages remaining at the £90k p/w mark, I can think of a solution that will satisfy him, and send the Gonners board into meltdown...

  9. Whinger doesn't have that luxury. RvP can sign a contract with United in the New Year, tying him to join them this time next season, and AFC will receive nothing. That would suit me fine, because Whinger would have a player who's mind and heart is no longer at the club, and Gooners would have to live with a player who they know is going to join their most hated club.

Should he score any goals for AFC in the coming season, the Gooners won't know whether to cheer or to boo!

I think you will find he can only sign with a foreign club in January, on a pre contract, so unless Manchester has moved to a new country that won't happen, he is only free to talk to an English club 1 month before his contract expires. Therefore he will have big offers from the likes of Juv and probably the millan clubs, maybe even Munch. I'm quite surprised these clubs aren't trying harder to get him, probably because of the fee we are demanding, but if they can get him for free I would expect then to make him a big offer. In all honesty I would be quite happy for the club to keep him for a season and lose him for nothing, as we don't need the money. I'm not sure how RVP would play, but modric played ok for you lot after the initial few months of the season.

I really can't see fergie forking out much for RVP so I will be surprised if he did end up at old trafford.

Ferguson's got no time limit to sign him, though.
He can piss you about til the transfer window shuts, happy to nick him if he can, but also happy to wait a season and get him for nothing.

I still don't see it happening, if he stays, he will have several big money offers in january, it would take a brave man to turn those down and wait till the end of the season in the hope that man u will make an offer, if he were to get injured in that last few months, he could basically be on the dole. Ok maybe not as im sure they will be insured but you know what I mean, I think that is the reason that very few players move in England on a bosman, its a big risk, im sure most pre contracts will have clauses that even if a player is injured they will still get paid. If he had a poor end to the season fergie could change his mind, there is a lot of variable to consider. Campbell is one of the few big players that has move to an English club on a free, it doesn't happen that often.

Im not sure it will disrupt the squad that much if there's loads of speculation as the players will be used to it by now, for the last 4 years, or even going back to the days of viera, we have had speculation about our players, its par for the course these days at arsenal, and your experiencing it yourself now in the last few years.

  14. If RvP joins United, he will become the most hated figure in their entire history.

I'm chuckling now, just thinking about it.

Those two aren't necessarily contradictory, and quite true in the case of RVP.

He might be a top player, but the fact is he's leaving after only one really top season. Not that he's to blame for the injuries in the previous years, but that doesn't change the fact that last season was the only full season he's performed at a top level.

Even if RVP remained here for the rest of his career he wouldn't make it in our all time best 11, with the likes of Henry, Bergkamp and Wright.

So unlikely we'd have to omit him from our history out of spite, like you guys do with a certain player. <whistle>

that certain player would'nt make it into our all-time team, not because of spite, but like you,we've had better players in his position,i.e. Mike England, and Ledley King,to name two.

About everyone in England and elsewhere, who isn't a Spurs fan, would disagree with those two being better than him. (well King at least)

Sorry, but you need to face facts. Sol Campbell was a far better player than Ledley King. His England caps, and double winning medals with Arsenal prove that.
