    Fantastic first half...

Where would we be without Luis Suarez? What a player - at the heart of everything and his work rate is phenomenal. Everyone has worked hard to be fair but him and Borini have really set the tone for how to press the opposition and work hard.

The full backs look very lively and are getting more involved in attacks.

Why all the hatred for Downing? He's looked decent in the 2 games so far. Positive, willing to run at players and has a brilliant goal to his name already. I think this is HIS year! Saw Ramirez at the Olympics and baring a free kick didn't impress me (although that doesn't mean he's not good).

Good first half, tempo's good, but this is Gomel keep it in perspective guys it like you playing against or League2/Non League side so should expect 5/6 goals in the second half. <ok>

Yea, downing looked much better, everyone played really well.

Loved Reina taking the micky with a few feigned passes. The lads look full of confidence for a change.

Thanks for the advice: I'm sure none of us realized the gulf. For the second half we'll criticise every move & goal just to keep perspective.

Took longer than expected for "an other" to come on and "burst our bubble"

Don't like Bolt, too flashy and up his own arse. Blake didn't do too bad there.

Lots of positives to take from the first half. We have kept the ball well, but at the same time been quick too attack, and out of possession we have worked very hard. Players have showed a good appetite and confidence.

Good start for Rodgers. Agger has not put a foot wrong, we must keep him.

If we do get Allen he could adequately play the deep role and play alongside Shelvey in the middle.

Think it's more having someone slightly different to help beside Spearing when Lucas is out. He still doesn't read it quite as well as L so need a bit more awareness and discipline from his midfield partners.

Another plus for Allen until Hendo learns more gamecraft?

F***in hell only having opinion sorry if it doesnt compare with yours, Im saying when you have the ball in their half look how far the defenders are away from the player with the ball. Top players dont give people like Suarez, Gerrard time on the ball like that, just saying the football is excellant but it is a team that just scraped past a team in the Faroe Islands and a team from Macedonia.

But hey thats the best football Ive watched ever even better then Barcelona in their peak keep it up cant wait till you sweep everything before you, there you go just for you DF.

If the rest of the team is balanced and strong enough it wont be such a big deal if we are with out Lucas at any point.
