I heard another rumour today that Huw Jenkins is going to get legal people involved to find out how and who leaked private and confidential information regarding Joe Allens contract of employment. It was joe himself...And brendan would know as he was his manager the other day ... Jinks cant be that stupid....
Just got some more info off my mate whose got everything spot on so far. Said Allen will be in Liverpool for a medical in the morning. To see if this is right like jis other struff would there be anyway to see if Allen is present at training tomorrow morning. Although, saying that, he could just go after training I suppose. They finish pretty early like.
No doubt in my mind that this is now going through. Never mind, we have a good replacement. Step back up to the plate, Mark Gower.
15 million .... WOW !! ... Not the sharpest pencils in the Premier ole Liverpool . 5 points better than us last season , that last 120,000,000 spent by the owners didn't do a lot . I suspect 23 million for Rodgers & Allen isn't buying better this season but we'll see . Thanks for the cash !!
ESPN Just showed Joe watching Liverpool at Anfield. There were rumours earlier that he has handed in a transfer request and is having a medical in the morning. ...And unfortunately Liverpool are looking pretty damn sharp in this game!
You've got to love the press making excuses for Liverpool and their darling Rodgers. The emphasis being put on us "Swansea can waive the clause if it's in the best interests of the club". Rodgers and Liverpool have done the dirty and reneged on their agreement, courting Joe and then activating the release clause....ensuring we have to have the conversation with Joe and either accept it or fight it out in the courts over an unhappy player. ****ing stinks. I'm really going to enjoy watching Rodgers fail and his career slide....I don't think anyone has inspired that in me before.
terr liverpool are within their rights. and like i said in the beginning that the gentlemans agreement is not worth the paper its written on...If its written which i very much doubt.....I told you all that in no shape or form can anyone stop a player from joining a Bigger club and yet again i have been proved right.. Joe wanted to go the minute Kenny was interested in him and when rodgers took over then he would have put in a transfer request if jinks had tried to stop him going......everyone is blaming brendan when it is joe who wanted to go from day one, ....and you cant blame him. Now he has gone the next question is what does ash want to do....its in his hands as nobody can stop him whatever he wants to do....I suppose we will know very soon...
Dai both you and me know that allen has been tapped up by rodgers, he has been creaming himself over his love of all things joe allen since 25th july, lets not kid ourselves here rodgers and liverpool football club have done everything to unsettle the youngster, but hey cross my palm with 15 million there are plenty in the valleys where joe al;len came from but in the meantime we can probably get a better player than joe allen in spain for a fraction of the price.
Of course Dai knows best... despite the actual qoutes from HJ and Swansea City, no such agreement existed (of course Dai, they lied). Such as the £15 million release clause never existed (of course Dai, they never lied) Dai, you cannot choose what facts to pick from to suit your own ego. Sometimes, you let yourself down. There is only 4 persons party to all the dirty deeds..... HJ, JA, BR and Glen Corcorran (JA's agent). Conspiracy theories and data protection act violations can be thrown around, but I guess we are all happy to finally move on. Everyone's a winner!!!! Let's just say, nothing surprises me in the corporate world of 'big' business..so who know's who did what?? It will be interesting to see if there are any repurcussions (though I very much doubt it). Cheers Joe , good luck !! BR can **** off !!
brendan did not do anything wrong. it was joe himself that let brendan know he wanted to join him. what was brendan suppose to do....jinks knew all the time that joe wanted to join liverpool as he made it known he would have put in a transfer request if he made it difficult....i told you all that weeks ago....Brendan is being fair with us paying us his buy out clause of £15 million because he did not have to do that, He could have told joe to put in a transfer request and let the tribunal say what liverpool must pay and it would have been a lot less than what we are getting now thats for sure......we should give brendan credit for letting us get the maximum we can from them. he is a honorable man that wount have a bad word said about swansea....and seeing as joe was adament he wanted to join him at liverpool he went by the book and did his best for us.....
Brendan Rodgers an honourable man? Ive heard it all now, the man is a liar and he has tapped one of our players up, so far that is.
I'm thankful Rodgers did what he did , if he actually did anything wrong or not . Rodgers ... 7 million ....... Allen ... 15 million , that's some serious good business . Can anyone keep a straight face & say Allen is worth more than double what Sig is worth , seriously ... Good luck Joe , we'll catch you on the flip side , at a lot less than 15 million too .
I agree, Breezy. Well over-priced. Now pay up. As for "brendan did not do anything wrong. it was joe himself that let brendan know he wanted to join him" Do you make this stuff up as you go along or do you actually put some work into it? Can you imagine Allen phoning up Rodgers and saying "Hello (ex) boss, can I come and join you?" Give us a break! By all accounts Allen only recently made his mind up. Stop making stuff up.
Win, win. The new look Swansea under Laudrup with £22 mill clear profit before the season starts and still time to buy ........ If Jow wasn't alreadt Anfield I would have driven him there myself!! Cheers Joe, **** off Brendan.

Now we know the truth of the Allen saga and what happened and didn't happen, I recommend people read this thread back from the beginning with the hindsight we now have.
I know I'm a bit late with this as things have moved on, but only just got a response. It's obviously no secret that he's there now and negotiations are taking place but nothing is signed yet and so far still not 100% but will be sorted either way in the next few hours. I know I may be clutching at straws and I do expect Joe to go, just saying there's no fat lady singing yet
I imagine it'll be announced later today. Don't get the vitriol, this is how football works really. Managers take old players and try to do the best they can above all else - because they'll be sacked otherwise. When a player wants out you can't keep them for long.
