I don't think it cup ties anyone as this is qualification. Think only get cup tied in competition proper. Decent team... yeah Lucas.... will miss... at work.
I thought players could move up in European competitions but they can't transfer from Champions League team into Europa League team.

Absolutely fantastic for him to be back but despite him playing in three or four friendlies already, I'll be ****ting myself every time he goes in for the ball! Good to see a very strong line-up tonight too, just a shame about this seasons top goalscorer playing

I know rationally it should be a tight preseason effort to get through but its our best damn team! only buys will really improve that side bar maybe dropping downing and pushing gerrard on for hendo in midfield but the best bench is out too... i hope we thrash these guys... 6-0 and i'll be over the moon 1-0 and i'll be happy

Exceptionally, however, a player who has been fielded in the first, second or third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League is entitled to play in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League for another club as from the group stage, provided that his former club did not qualify for the group phase of either the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa League; moreover, as from the start of the round of 32 (round of 16 for UEFA Champions League), a player can be registered in accordance with paragraphs 18.17 to 18.20 below. For the avoidance of doubt, a substitute player who has not been fielded is entitled to play for another club competing in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League in the course of the same season, provided that he is registered with the UEFA administration in accordance with the present regulations.
