Will have some serious questions that I think need answered by Mr Bruce. With the team we currently have (injuries aside) we should not be in the position we are in. These end of season slumps are beginning to grind and something which Bruce has known all to well at his previous clubs as well, the question is has he taken us as far as he can? Also IMO I now think Bruce has lost the majority of fans which was always going to be hard for him but the damage seems to be done. I've heard Martin ONeill's name being mentioned as a possible replacement which I would love to see as I've wanted that to happen for years and he's a countryman of mine. I also think his appointment would unite the fans and possibly fill the stadium?? The main question is should Quinn act now or wait. IMO I think we need brave leadership/decisions as this is a results buisiness and our current run of results are that bad I believe any other manager at a club of our size would have gone by now.

Quinn should wait till the end of the season, not much point in creating more turmoil with 5 games to go, I don't think Martin O'Neil is the answer, there ar other managers available who have a better track record, Mourhino, Benitez, Van Gaal, Rykaard, yes I know it may seem a bit pie in the sky with these names, but this is the quality that's needed for the club to progress.

I didnt want Bruce in the first place, but once appointed got behind the guy. Up till the 14 game humiliation last season i thought we were making progress and that was just a blip, this season he put a smile on my face, up till the skunks game, but them came some stupid tactical decisions, selling Bent, and yet another bad run,

Now i hope he goes as i think he has lost the dressing room, does not have the tactical nonce, or can man manage, but what the **** do i know, i just love the team since i was in short trousers, and if ever there was a time to progress this is it, we wont do it with this guy at the helm. so its bye bye now as far as I'm concerned lets get a proper guy in now, as we wont go down and let him be given a chance to know the guys so he can see what he wants in the summer.

We played really ****ing well today mind, strikes me he got a response from the players, but we can't ****ing finish off chances.

I still think it's time for Bruce to go, but i thought if nothing else today suggested the players are still with him.

Next weeks game is bigger than a Bigg Market slappers hoochie.

I agree roger, I was never a Bruce fan and wanted either ONeill or Jol from the start but I have always supported him and NEVER till now have been a bruce out cheerleader.

Brucey, I remember back in Jan when people on here said that Bent wouldn't be a big loss. IMO he was a massive loss which also made a very negative statement about our ambitions. He was under contract and we should of kept him till the summer giving us time to find an adequate replacement. Gyan is a quality player but not a out and out goal scorer and if we survive this season I think players like Sess and Gyan will come good. Apart from Marlbranqe/Bardsley and Bramble the rest of the players will need to take a look at themselves.

Malbranque is a one trick pony. bardsley is Mr 110% Bramble is Mungo out of Blazing Saddles. Great start for next season

    Gotta agree in hindsight.

I didn't give a **** when Bent went, i thought he'd let us down for 2 months prior, and it made sense it was because his head had been turned.

Facts are, an unhappy and unsettled Bent will still get goals, and we are ****ed in that department.

I seriously can't see where we go from here, we'll beat Wigan, and that'll be enough to stay up, but staying up, after the investment, and with the playing staff we have, should be a pre-requisite.

The second half of the season has been a ****ing disgrace to the shirt, the players have let Bruce down, big time.

Week after week it's Bardsley, and every 2 games Gyan looks sharp, the rest of the team, every single one of them, is a ****ing horror show, with no pride in the badge, and seemingly no interest to play to their potential.

We need a manager of stature to come in and tell them to get ****ed.

If we stay up we need a complete red out. Going out would be Mensha/Muntari/Riveros/Zenden/Reid/Angeleri. In two strikers (Welbeck!!! Sturridge), two attacking midfielders (N'Zogbia/Gibson????being realistic), a centre back (Samba) and sign Onouha/Hutton price depending and a left back. This seems like a total rebuild which in reality it's not far of it but with a couple of loans could see us moving in the right direction please god.

Like it or not but the Bruce out brigade is growing faster and faster. First of all you would have the fans that did not want Bruce in the first place (say 10%) then you could add another say 5% thanks to the 14 game winless run last season. Then you can add 10% more for the humiliation at St James's park and another 5% for the draw at our place, which gives you 30% of Sunderland fans wanting Bruce out. Taking this 30% I think you can add 20% for the recent slide and relegation fight, which leaves 50% of Sunderland fans wanting a new manager.

The remaining 5 games will affect this 50% going up or down but this is my estimation at present.

i'm still in the 50% not wanting him out yet.

do believe when summer comes there will and should be a big clear out,

and once we've established our prem status, bruce will start his summer scouting..

As much as I think Bruce is too limited for where we want to go, I don't think any top class manager is going to risk coming here right now. If we get a couple of more points between us and relegation, they maybe would. So I'm afraid it's an end of season job.

O'Neil has turned this club down twice I think. Only a few seasons ago, he preferred Aston Villa to us. Any other man who preferred Villa to us would be roundly condemned for it - mentioning no names, of course. So do we want O'Neil? I don't think I do, though I'd support him if he came.

I don't have any fixed ideas, but I do like the look of this van Gaal.

For what it's worth, I'm in the Brucie to stay camp. For me the real problem has been a combination of attitude and skill from certain players, brought on by high expectations, fear (maybe inexperience?), and lack of concentration when it matters. This is just what I can see on the pitch - I have no 'sauce' inside the club :p

Since the January chat of Europe, Bent's departure meaning 'nothing', Sir Alex looking at Henderson, some players have not performed.

Onouha - looks good at rigth back, will get better over time.
Tight arse Shambles - Name says it all, never liked him at any club he's been at, always looks scared.
Mensah - Hot and cold, but when he's hot he inspires the team.
Turner - injuries, but I did like hime at the begining of the season.
    Bardo - Should be captain.
Catts - Between injuries and cards he has flashes, usually when we go into a 'unwinable' game. Needs more time, but ultimately I would trade him for a Scotty Parker anytime.
Henderson - As soon as Fergie sniffed around I think it went to his head, and his performance dropped. He chickens out of most 50:50 challenges, and his distribution has been average at best. Needs a wake up call.
Munts - Nothing inspiring yet, but did we honestly expect anything?
Elmo - Like him when he pushes forward, just his skill lets him down a bit. Would like to see him work on his skills more, but shows promise.
Sess - I think he needs to step up a little. I just don't think he plays with enough confidence as he has done.
Steed/Bolo - Old guard, have served well, but we have to be looking forward. I think their time on the pitch is nigh.
Baby Jet - I like his positive attitude, and has good vision, but his first ball control is appalling! Needs to stop the fancy one-touch tricks.
Welbeck - Player of the season, and will be sorely missed.
    Campbell/Meyer - More injuries!
Colbeck - haven't got an opinion yet.

Our keepers have been pretty good, and I like the competition between them - just hope Gordon doesn't want out, so he can keep in Scottish footy.

Wow. Bit of a rant. Feel a little better. I guess what I'm saying is that brucie has had a few bad purchases, and some great loans - but I have faith that he will do another cull for next season and get us back into winning ways (for half a season :))

Onouha - looks good at rigth back, will get better over time.

I cant agree with this fork handles. When we have played Onouha at centre half down at Fulham and at Brum he has looked so much better and comfortable and produced very eye catching performances.

At right back he simply 'does a job'. Yes he scored that wonder goal at Chelsea but that seems to be an exception and a level of performance which we will probably never emulate for a while. Looked very poor against West Brom at Right-back but I would definately sign him if possible but play him at centre back.

Fair enough mate. I'm just trying to be positive about a defensive lineup that, although had a good run pre-christmas, has not inspired confident open play lately.

I should have mentioned Richardson also. Has had a great spell in attacking midfield (his defensive duties must have made him really determined not to go back there!) and long may it continue.

The whole Short/Quinn/Bruce thing depends on the overall plan for the club. Are we on target with it or not? How much more money is there to spend? Who knows apart from Short, Quinn and the Board? We don't have the facts, but I think it's time we were told.
