Such a shame and a waste but probably the right decision in the end.

Was worth the gamble after his great form on loan where he and McAuley basically single handedly kept us in the division!! He won a few games by himself in his time here.

When t he came at the start of last season he didn't seem fit and I don't think Jewell played him in his best position. Since then who knows what's gone wrong, he had a very disruptive season. Shame he hasn't stepped up to the plate in pre season, could've been a fresh start!!

Something must be amiss though, because you can't go from form like he showed in 2011 to what he was like last season but like I say I think it was worth the gamble, he may have been one of our highest earners but he wasn't on stupid money!!

Just doesnt make sense to me. It says we are either loaning him or paying off his contract. Why not loan or free transfer? Why pay off his wages if their is interest from other clubs. Alternatively, if he has been a naughty boy and we want rid because of off the field issues then why pay his contract up and not just sack him?

I'm geussing, the club just feel that it isn't working out for him, perhaps there isn't any other interested clubs and we need to get him off our wage bill!!

agree PTC except it says he will be gone, EITHER on loan or released. Would they say that if there was no interest?

It is strange perhaps there's a player we want to sign but we can't sign him until we get Bullard off our wage bill??

If he is nowhere near the first team it seems a bit silly to keep him around really, its not like he will improve and get back in at his age.

Surely if you're paying off his contract that means all of his wages for the remainder of it? Can't see that's the same as getting him off the wage bill.

Don't tell anyone, but we're currently in negotiations with OLM to take out a hit on JB, thus getting him off the wage bill...

OLM has accepted our offer of £25, but negotiations are continuing over whether it will be half a case of Polish lager or a full case to go with it...

This would only make sense if we saved a full year's wages on his contract otherwise whats the ****ing point of releasing him and paying out the rest of it?

Perhaps he's a disruptive influence on the squad, and particularly Chops?

We've probably reached an agreement to pay off his contract in part, maybe the equivalent of £8,000 a week. Or we could just be looking to sell him. If we do my guess would be a Chinese, Russian or an American club.

It seems we may have reached an agreement with him.

With regard to paying off his contract in full I think whilst we wouldn't save any money what so ever it would mean with the new FFP rules we could bring someone else in. It seems like we want to stick to the wage structure but no quite so worried about paying him a lump sum!!
