Wales online? A Cardiff rag. I think there's posters on here who know more than them. Quite simple now, it's £15M the asking price. Time to pay up so we can all draw a line under the matter. I heard another rumour today that Huw Jenkins is going to get legal people involved to find out how and who leaked private and confidential information regarding Joe Allens contract of employment. One thing is for sure, Joe will have good a good welcome back here, Rodgers will not.
Liverpool are posied to 'challenge' and based on last season have a very realistic chance of winning the FA Cup and League Cup and possibly the Europa League too. You saying that wouldn't interest Joe at all? When has he EVER had a realistic chance of winning any of these 3 trophies in his career like he would have if he moved to us? If we got to two finals, winning one of them, with worse players playing last season, and a useless mananger and coaches, then I'm sure that this season with better players playing the games and a more tactically astute manager, we can get repeat or do better than last years challenges. Europa League we'll see about, there's a lot of big clubs in that from the continent.
Like I said mate in another thread. I completely trust my mate who passes on the info as I know it comes from as good as source as you can get. I've put my money where my mouth is in another thread (saved the post/thread) where based on my info I made a number of predictions of what would happen during the transfer saga, how it would play out, and how it would end. When the saga's over I'll revist that post for everyone to see in the cold light of day and see how reliable it was. Till its official we all just have to be patient and wait but based on the info coming from sources and Journalists who I know for sure are privately briefed by the club, inparticular Brendan, I would be shocked if this transfer collapsed BUT you can never rule out a "Gerrard-esque" U-Turn at the final seconds.
Well I was at Yankee Stadium on Jul 27 when we crushed you 10-3. If this is what you call progress ... keep it up. One or two titles in a century is not rocking the world of baseball, it's an aberation on a pathway of woeful inadequacy. I'm not called Yankee_Jack just because I live over here and I do know baseball and the Red Sux are a perenial choke team in August .... except this year they started in May. The more things change, the more they stay the same ... and the only reason the franchise has increased in value is because baseball is a franchise system not a pyramid system and you have to pay through the nose to become a member of the closed industry. The Dodgers is another woefully lame franchise since their move from Brooklyn 50 odd years ago but was acquired in May for over $2B, which is not because of any intrinsic book value, it's just that people with big egos will pay silly money to control a ball club. You've spent over 22M on a manager and a player, without realizing that Swansea City is where it is today and plays the way it does not because of one specific manager nor because of one specific player. Our style is based on 11 players from keeper to center forward all being comfortable and technically capable on the ball. And we've evolved to where we are through three managers (perhaps more if you want to be generous). You've spent 22M to get 1/11 player wise plus 1/3 (perhaps less) manager wise of the solution. Nice business ... keep it up and you'll be bankrupt before you can string 10 passes together.
Toela, Yup, I'd believe you before that Cardiff based rag. There's no doubt in my mind that Joe Allen will be transferred and he goes with my blessing for one. He has to look after himself and his family, but he is one of us and I'd put money on Joe coming home some time later in his career. I hope he's a success at Liverpool.
It may have passed you buy but the top 6 sides have strengthened, . Agger's going .bellend's gone back to dream world . Maxi . kuyt gone, carrol won't feature I wouldn't say that you've strenghthened at all but thats your worry not ours .Don't forget you beat a poor carduff side at penalties and were well beaten in the 2nd final .I wouldn't say that you'll be challenging next year ,it'll be a case of stopping the decline . But all that aside , I genuinely have no axe to grind with your club or supporters and wish you well next season but not against us
I don't half feel sorry for Andy Carroll poor bugger. Rodgers has made it clear he doesn't fit in with his style of play and no one's willing to stump up the cash Liverpool want. So it does appear he's stuck somewhere that he's not wanted.
Which is why were trying force Agger out for the cash as after last year FSG have pulled in the purse strings and told Brendan and his team there is as much money as he needs available AFTER he has proven he can spend it a lot better than Dalglish and Comolli. Will Allen for £15m and Borini for £11m really impress the Americans and mae them think they can trust Rodgers et al? We'll wait and see.
Slightly off tangent i know but I see Martin Stamper from Liverpool just won his quarter final in taekwondo and is guaranteed at least a Bronze, a big well don't from me. Only mentioning it because my mate John who is a scouser tried his hardest to get a gold in the Olympics but failed. He told me security was far too tight !! Sorry decent reds, couldn't resist
I trust that Huw will demand the money in full before the transfer takes place. After all LFC ARE a rich club and can afford to pay all up front, none of this we`ll give you 50p now and weekly installments of £10. please log in to view this image
Deal. No news from the website and I refuse to believe Wales online. They may trigger the clause, but i still don't think Joe has declared where he will be.
We are far from 'forcing' Agger out. Did United force Ronaldo out? No, but when a bid they couldn't refuse came along, they accepted it.
Ok to redress the balance. I hop you Reds like this one, Did you hear that the Post Office has just recalled their latest stamps? Well, they had photos of Manchester United players on them - people couldn't figure out which side to spit on
Just getting home from work now, so will ask shortly. She was supposed to be seeing her today so I text her earlier saying to wish Joe all the best to see what sort of reply came back, but she could't make it so still none the wiser. She said she'll be speaking to her later though...I'll let you know Edit: incidentally, I am the better half. She just thinks she is
Agreeing a payment schedule could delay the official announcement of the deal for days yet as there's going to be lots of haggling and negotiating still to be done even though Allen has agreed terms and the fee of £15m is agreed.
