With news that TBH has left and previous news that LL is either negotiating an 'affordable deal' or going to Cardiff, it looks like BC is, once again, 'reluctant owner'.

    Just one thing now.

Apple has to be able to sign an entire squad to go onto the team sheet in the League Cup First Round tie at Plymouth on Tuesday.

    Good Luck Apple!

Still not 100% that BC will take over - just watching the live updates on the PCC loan application.

    PST not quite dead yet.

But - PCC have to save £56m over the next 3 years, so if they do lend the money it would be from a loan they take out (presumably)

However, the PL have agreed in principle to making the loan repayments from the parachute payments. I take back some of what I've said about them now.

So far all councillors have spoken in favour of the club. Worked out the economic impact of Pompey is over £300m to the region.

Hope everything gets sorted but that is going to be tough to get a team together in that time, you still have the youth players don't you as I feel you may have to play a lot of them.

The PCC vote in favour of the loan was unanimous - Appy ought to be able to start signing his players now.

Just wonder how many of the triallists will actually get a contract.

Izale McLeod and Brian Howard - definitely will.

Interesting few days coming up now to see who will be in the squad. <ok>

Izale is a good player and should do well at League 1 level, I really wanted him at Gills but he did not seem to want to join us but League 1 is probably his level.

A mere bagatelle, Rickie. Contracts and such, will have already been drawn and quartered.

That is what I thought. Most of the players that have been playing pre-season friendlies for you will now be able once cleared by the FL to start the season for you.

I reckon that in addition to Brian Howard and Izale McLeod, 'Appy will snap up Mustapha Dumbuya, Jon Harley, Djalli (?), Josh Thompson and Simon Eastwood.

Along with likely loan players in Conor Clifford of Chelsea, and the Danish keeper Mikkel Andersen from Reading, that makes at least NINE new players.

That would be a start <ok>

If you reach safety this season everybody that is involved will deserve a big hand on the last day of the season.
