having read that, I wish that 'OUR' BBC, ie the one we all pay for would realise that there is no such place as Humberside, in spite of the totally inappropriately named and mis-representative radio station the gurus in London continue to support!!!!!!!!!

    You never know about contracts.

There's release clauses: "XXX has signed a five year contract "committing" to the club until 2017" but there's no mention that he can go if somebody bids £5m.

There's options of extended contracts based on numbers of games played.

I wonder if there's an option of a payoff of contract based on numbers of games played?

Still not willing to concede that he's a sponging waster, who's happy to take the money and not put in the effort then?

There is a region known as Humberside. It's that area around the Humber Estuary.

    Happy to help.

When there's some credible evidence to suggest that then I may do.

At the moment all I can see is that he's a bit out of form and not really in Jewell's plans.

    Madness from Jewell I say.

There is an area either side of the Humber, but to the majority who live on the north bank(and probably the south bank too), they don't like it to be referred to as Humberside.

As I know you're already very well aware.

I also know you hold a different opinion, but then you generally hold a different opinion on everything and it's usually not worth hearing.

    Happy to help.

It's on thing to refer to a portion of the country as Humberside (cf Wearside, Teesside, Clydeside, Tyneside) which has been in common parlance for at least a century that I know of.

To continue to use the 1970s government- gerrymandered administrative area of 'Humberside' in formal business or legal matters is another discussion entirely.

Anyone who can't distinguish between these two arguments must be one thick **** and better use one syllable words to avoid any confusion.
