Limassol and Hapoel/Shmona (?) are the other teams.

Travel's always a big factor but given that we're likely to win the SPL at a canter I don't think it'll matter so much for this season. So, I reckon a crack at Hapoel as apparently their season doesn't start till near the end of August so they wont be match sharp.

You're right, all these diddy teams will be wanting the glamour tie with Celtic.

Aberdeen had their one and only competitive glamour tie last weekend and lost it. I'd say you'd be coming back but nothing is guaranteed when it's likely the Dons will finish in the bottom six again...

That being the case then hopefully we'll get Hapoel at home first and put a few goals past them then we can travel to Israel and sit in.

I'm assuming that, should we be at home on the 28th, the Huns League Cup tie against Falkirk will be moved <laugh>

I've based my decision on Stadium size. Hapoel have a capacity of 5,000 - if they get less people than Aberdeen watching every week maybe they play worse football than Aberdeen?

Well how much money you have is derived from how many supporters you have - and how much money you have determines what kind of wages you can pay - and how much money you can pay determines how good your football team is.

My logic is great, thank you.

You would also have to factor in the country's population to get an idea of the television revenue and see if the clubs supports a large youth system or spends all its resources on the first team.

Didn't Unirea come form a town with a population that could fit inside Ibrox yet still horsed the huns? They were heavily financed by a local businessman.

    Paying for it now mind.

    Are they totally deid now?

It's a shame when some dodgy businessman takes over a club and runs it into the ground only to see it go bust and out of existence. We can only hope nothing like that befalls any of our clubs.

If we play to our potential, as last night or better we should not worry over any of these teams. Thinking of last night I think
a big round of applause is due to Rangers for their help to us. Over the years Celtic have had to get used to playing with biased
and bad referees that Rangers had influenced and groomed. Last night's referee was just typical of what we have been made to
    suffer over the decades.
