The whole Hazard transfer was ridiculous, surely you must be glad that type of player isn't at utd? He said he would go to Arsenal, then to a big Spanish club, then definitely in Manchester and probably in blue, then bam goes to Chelsea. So he is clearly a cock and suits their team perfectly, just not sure where in the 10-0-0 formation he fits.

 

They are really struggling to come up with any reasons.

Definitely. That whole "what will be Eden Hazard's next club" think on YouTube was enough to put me off a bit. Will be interesting to see how RDM handles the dressing room at Chelsea next year.

I dont expect top 4 for them and they will not win the CL again, thats 100% certain. I suspect a liverpool style season going for cups.

 

I wonder if Chelsea are going the same way as Real in the mid 00s. The chairman buys the players and the manager is just a coach whose job it is to get the best out of them? It does seem like Roman has appointed himself honorary DoF...

So a mega rich owner could have put £1b into a bank account for the club to use prior to these rules coming in and effectively that club then works of its own sustainability despite making massive losses each year?

The difference between City/Chelsea and PSG is the league.

The french league is rubbish compared to the PL, it has no big clubs ( certainly no clubs that compare to even the newcastles of the PL ) and I dont see how the league can sustain PSG's spending.

The PL brand is so big both City and Chelsea could be sustained to a point, the french league though? Hahahaha. **** all chance.

Pretty sure the G14 disappeared ten years ago. It's now the European Club Group or something similar, and has about 100 members.

No, cos the £1 billion would still be counted as an equity injection and so would still be banned under the new rules. Clubs are allowed to make losses, but only out of the money they have previously made from footballing business, and that has been held in the club.

Ironically enough, that is one of the main reasons, imo, the Glazers haven't taken the £70 million dividend from Utd (the Ronaldo money) that they were allowed to under the terms of the bond sale. Once they took it out, it could never go back in under FFP rules, so if Utd made any losses then they couldn't cover them with loans. As it is, leaving that money there gives Utd a bit of a cushion against FFP.

Flooding anything with money usually ****s it up bigtime.

Blackburn getting 17million for duff has really done wonders for them hasnt it, Liverpool with 50million for torres.

Money is only good when its spent wisely and with caution, it can destroy just as easily as it can create.
