Will lose every ounce of respect I have for Wenger if he allows this. Think the old wise owl is far to smart to bow down to any of Fergie's BS.
I thought i'd prepare a graphic demonstration of what happens if we sell RvP to utd. Us sailing along nicely, with RvP please log in to view this image The greedy buggers sign the greedy bugger please log in to view this image Oops. We've made a huge mistake please log in to view this image
are arsenal really that bad? Sure he would be a loss and a gain for us but would you really just become instantly ****? Personally think it would spur you on ( apologies for the use of that word ).
Well it shows a negative mentality from the club. We've just made a massive stride forward by signing Santi Cazorla, now we're preparing to take 2 massive steps backwards by selling our best player to a bitter rival. It doesn't send out good signals to the fans, sponsors etc.
True but neither did selling players to City but hey, you did that over and over. If you get good money and replace him well then is it that bad? Take all hatred for United out of it, imagine we are just another team who compete with you for titles.
My point wasn't that Rooney was a waste of money, more that the sentiment was a tad hypocritical. How is £26m an ok fee for an 18-year old but £35m immoral?
To be fair we did fleece city pretty good, only nasri was the one that we would have wanted to keep, and he was in the last year of his contract.
Theres a few differences. Rooney was proven or at worst looking very good in the league he was moving too, he was english which automatically increases the fee and we didnt pay all at once.
Why are english players more expensive? The foreign players are all better, yet the english one's have the stupid price tags.
Lol, yea like Moura has a poor reputation and it is not like Brazil produce decent footballers, eh? UIR is the man with a pro-United argument for any situation, he has the rosiest of rosy United coloured specs on. 99% of all he says is complete BS and full of hypocrisy.
None of this matters. The point is that £26m (I'm rounding up to be fair - it was £25.6m or something?) was offered and paid. ... but it wasn't mad to pay £26m for an 18-year old Rooney? Or does it only make sense to pay £30m+ for players who are in their mid-20s (Berbatov, Ferdinand)?
Highly rated in Brazil and moving to france highly rated in england/proven in england and moving up the road. hmmm. Not saying Moura is rubbish, far from, just Rooney is clearly worth what we paid while Moura is yet to be decided.
no but torres wasnt a teenager like rooney was and moura is. Torres could be a sign of what we might get from rvp though.
Just refuse to sell him to any particular club, you don`t have to accept the highest bid you can agree any fee with any club you want and then leave it to the player to accept the transfer and sort his personal side out or stay at your club.
