Just thought as we're battling them for every reject player, it won't be long before this one sees the light of day! Might have to wait until the transfer windows is over though, so remember, you read this complete and utter bulls**t story hear 1st! News also just in that qpr are battling West Ham to see who's fans has the best pie and mash before a game....
I'd stop going if we moved there. 50 yards to the nearest touchline is a joke, as is the other goal being 200 yards away. It would become the worst ground in the country unless the track is removed.
You silly bugger if they removed the track the distance will still be the same if a pitch was laid either way you are right about the distance you would need opera glasses ... unless we moved the pitch nearer to the home support i.e. the away fans would be sitting in a different borough
Excellent plan - rip the track out, rotate the playing surface and use the near half of the stadium for home fans. Aways fans can get to their seats via a short haul flight in an Air Asia plane. Quids in.
Or they could do what Man City did and remove the track, dig down and add a lower tier and make it into a normal football ground.
Exactly. If they wanted to keep the running track they could dig down, put in retractable seating so it can be used for football and athletics.
The Olympic Stadium has already been built in a hole (cue East London jokes here...) the pitch level is under the surrounding level anyway, and the top tier (55k seating) is removable, leaving a 25k stadium. http://www.london2012.com/venue/olympic-stadium/
