Grecian!!! Whoooooooo the man??????????????? You the maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnn wild sauce the hannon double
Cheers gazboy, see Johnston has had a couple of winners so far. Just hope that his short priced jolly gets us up the treble. Amoure Medici combined with some high drawn horses for a combi T/C
Well done Grecian Sir Graham Wade was an absoloute penalty kick today after last week. A couple of posts were critical of Mark Johnson winning with the horse last week at Goodwood because it was his second string in the betting, he hid nothing however as in the racing post that day he's words were Sir Graham Wade is not straight forward but he could very easily leave these for dead. As he did. If you are feeling flush, Scrupal tonight at Kempton, still available at 9-2
Hughes is on fire........ He could get Carlton house and Bonfire to achive a win double the form he is in.
5.15 Yarmouth Dannios 7/2 NAP I think the 7/2 on offer for Ed Walker's 6 year old looks very big and I think he's going to take an awful lot of stopping on a track where is 3-3. Dannios is actually Ed Walker's hack and he had a great season last year winning 3 times in 6 starts will occurring over 1m at todays track. His last win came in facile fashion last August as he won on the bridle off a mark of 61. That effort doesn't look too bad form wise and he missed the break badly that day so you can definitely upgrade that performance. Dannios comes here on the back of a 310 day absence but that is absolutely no concern to me whatsoever given he was successful on the back of a 16 month absence last year. Off a mark of 67, he's only 6lb higher than his last win at the track and he looks rather well handicapped on the basis of that effort. Although he sometimes missed the break, I don't see the step back in trip to 7f being a major hindrance by the way he has shaped in his successes. His three wins last year came on good ground and although I am very very slightly concerned about the constantly drying good to soft weather I really don't think it'll be a problem. In this apprentice contest, Noel Garbutt has his first ride for the stable and looks a pretty decent jockey booking. With Ed Walker's horses flying at present, I certainly don't think its a coincidence that he returns to the track at which he gets on so well and I will be very surprised if he doesn't come out victorious today.
5:20 Brighton - Dundrum Dancer EW 11/1 This one did well back to 7f over C&D lto and I think should go well again. Likes the mud
7.00 Kempton Daneglow 100/1 Bit of a stab in the dark here from my favourite trainer Mike Murphy in what looks a very hot contest but can't say no to her on debut at 100/1. This 2 year old filly is a quite nicely bred animal whose unraced dam was from a very good family. Her half-sister Slim Chance won on debut so thats a definite encouragement with regards to her likeliness to be ready first time up. Mike Murphy doesn't have too many juveniles but he did have a 2 year old newcomer last year in the shape of Mitie Mouse so he can ready them first time out. I really think Pompeia sets a very good standard in this race but she'll be undoubtedly be better over further and this certainly is a decent contest. Shane Kelly takes the ride on this filly and although she's been done no favours in stall 13 and she'll have to be very good and very forward to land this she certainly looks worth a small e/w at a three figure price.
Cheers guys, days like today don't happen too often. Shame it s very quiet on here of late with most posters away. May back all Hughes and Johnston runners tomorrow depending on how many there are. On Scrupul Bluesky, thrown in Niger and Henry Clay for the f/c t/c
Evening guys, well done to all who had winners especially mick Some mediocre racing atm, which is why it is prbly bit quiet! So its a bigger acheivment finding the winners! The Jumps are closing back in, I cant wait- I cant believe i was reading today connections of Kauto have not made thier decision yet on retiring him- surely they must otherwise I fear the worst!, No bet for me tonight but will be back in the waging tomorrow, but will still be around tonight!
Not horse racing but Proctor qualified with ease for the long jump final, jumping the furthest of the lot on her one and only jump. 7/1 a very big price on that evidence.
Niger and Abriachan in the last 2 at Kempton in singles doubles and a treble with NR Rawaki from earlier!!!!!
