Think you will find by looking at our board that quite a few of us are concerned to some extent. Not many think we will get top 4, although most think it can be achievable. Thats football I guess, anything can happen.

Only yesterday realised how thin your squad was and with more expected to leave than come in I would be worried too.

Saying that a thin squad isnt always a bad thing, luck with injuries and a settled team can benefit a team.

 

It seems thin to let the youth come through but if they aren't ready that is some gamble.

 

Defence is OK, as long as we replace Agger if he goes.

Midfield is alright in numbers if we play 433, but having Adam in there doesn't provide much quality.

Front 3 could do with extra quality, Sterling isn't mature enough to take the full weight. Downing, nuff said.

I wouldn't say it was too thin...but definitely lacks the quality we need.

 

Suppose now is the time to bed them in, low expectations from fans and the media means less pressure so a great time to get young players used to playing for liverpool. A long term solution but its long term solutions that created what United are today rather than a short term view similar to that of the money clubs.

First 11 minus downing is ok/decent. Beyond that there is very little other than squad fillers and young players who are relatively unknown in terms of a full season.

Even our strikers Carroll and Borini are unknown. Carroll found form at the end of the season, can he start banging them in regularly? Will he even play a big part in BR's plans? Borini has been described as a good signing by some pundits...but still, we don't know how well he will do in his first PL season.
