Yes I can understand Wolves wanting to haggle with us as we are in a poor situation regarding strikers but are we going to grovel and succumb to their valuation. I would like to see Fletcher in our colours but if the figures branded about are to be believed I think we have been more than generous with our offer. Personally I think we should be looking at other options, surely there are other players that can do a job for us and may come at a much cheaper price.
I just wish it would end one way or the other (preferably, us telling them where to go, as i just dont rate the lad, sorry), but its the only name we are linked with (with any certainty anyway) and I want to move on and hear of other players we are putting bids in for, as Fletcher just does not excite me at all.
As much as I want Fletcher, for our own good, we should withdraw and move on now. Time is ticking down until 18th and we should call Wolves bluff. If we pull out, they might well find themselves either having a pissed off player on EPL wages, who at 25 wont want to spend any time in the lower leagues, or have a lower bid from another bidder and be forced to lose out.# £10m take it or leave it offer with additions up to £12m is a good offer. They should be given up to the end of today to respond or we make offers elswhere.
Don,t know where you guys got this report from. Its 12-43 and i just saw on Sky sports news saying they Wolves not accepted any offer from Sunderlands not that they had rejected it I still say £12m will get him i just hope to hell O,Neil has a plan B
There is nothing anywhere other ythan a headline on Sky that says they have rejected a bid - and also no solid confirmation that we have made a new bid! Sky's headline says "Wolves reject bid" yet Moxey simply states that the reports stating that Wolves have accepted a bid are not correct. As the clubs are still in consultation about it I would envisage them making a bid soon. I ****ing hate (most) journalists! Mitch it's most likely from this Sky Sports article: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7973116 The Headline says it's been rejected! (And this is why I hate journalists!!)
Scrap the whole feckin deal and move on...decent player but just that...decent...nowt flash. Only thing frightening me is the belief that we dont have a plan B !!!!!. If 12 million was being mooted id spend that on Defoe and get Kenwyne back (available at 2.5 million by all accounts)
it doesn't say it's been rejected, it says that contrary to reports, wolves haven't accepted anything (yet). No matter if people agree or disagree with this deal, we will be signing him for 11, 12, 13, 14 or even 15m
