It won't be when the Spanners start playing their relegation football there.

Sprint king Usain Bolt yesterday begged Sir Alex Ferguson for the chance to play for Manchester United - but warned he would have to be quick. (The Sun)

A lot of pace, but little else? Sounds like the perfect replacement for Walcott to me...

  8. The Hockey arena at the Riverbank is compact and very noisy with a full house in there.... Not sure that the Spanners would even manage to fill that tho'. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    Zingy was being sarcastic, Totsfan.
Villas-Boas was Mourinho's assistant for several years, starting at Porto and staying with him during his time at Chelsea and Inter.
The suggestion that Rodgers would have an advantage due to familiarity is pretty ludicrous, which is what Zingy was hinting at.

Rodgers was the youth coach, wasn't he?

Mourinho probably never met him - nor did any other Chav coach in the last ten years.

Rodgers' time at Chelsea was basically the same as Mourinho and Villas-Boas, 2004-2008.
He was youth coach for a couple of years, then reserve coach.

However, if he ran in a straight line for nine-and-a-bit seconds, he'd start playing to the crowd - which would probably see him lose possession...

  16. The arrogance of these sprinters who think that simply because they can run very fast makes them automatically good at football!

He be taken apart by any half decent centre half.

That's right. Because God couldn't give a toss about the thousands of children dying in Africa every week, or the torture and degradation of innocents around the world, or the plight of those in poverty and on the verge of despair. All He cares about is helping some billionaire Arab win a game a football with his expensively assembled team of multi-millionaire super-stars against a team that is was newly promoted from the Championship!
