Right - Great day out and great result. But: Apparently it's not correct to shout 'come on England' Apparently it's an umpire not a ref They don't like it when you shout 'are you f'ing blind ref' They also don't like it when you shout 'nail the cheating dago' Apart from that, it was a jolly good evening. Got on the TV as well.
£45 a ticket X 2. More expensive than watching the Arsenal. But you get access to the whole park and we also got a picture (free) of us holding the olympic torch.
I heard somewhere that the park is going to be open for the general public between the end of the Olympics and the start of the Paralympics
Possibly, but after the paras, there will be no access until easter 2014 when it will have been redeveloped.
Great day out at the Olympics. So far I've been to Judo. Saw the Gemma gibbon girl take silver and watched the roman Greco wrestling on Sunday. I can say I've been to the bloody Olympics woohoo! Honestly the atmosphere no matter where you go is simply phenonomenal.
The only tournament i've ever been to is Euro 96. I saw Italy v Russia,Italy v Czech Republic and Czech Republic v Russia in group games at Anfield and we went to the Croatia v Germany 1/4 final at Old Trafford.Because we lived in a foreign country my mate had to get his wife's sister to buy us tickets as she lived in Cheshire. I remember my father going to Goodison Park in 1966.He saw the Portugal v North Korea 5-3 game
Well Bergkamp, the master of Dutch football was old when he was at Arsenal, so maybe he and our new member have something in common ?
Why would someone who was only making their 2nd post make a reference that i may be old enough to have attended the 1948 Olympics.?
