TBF Cheik has received considerably more attention on here than he/she deserves. The easier option would appear to place on the ignore list rather than playing he said she said.
Good gracious me. Another board with plenty of bickering going on between users on here. Just a couple days ago it was the QPR board and now the Sunderland board. Sadly each board on the site has a minority of users who are morons and ruin it for the majority on this site. From what I have seen, it seems to be a few Sunderland fans and a Newcastle fan who derail threads and wum threads so these users need to get a grip.
I'm happy to take my quotient of the blame, however tonight I have been borderline accused of *****philia, I think anyone who singles me out is lying to themselves because of the team I support. I mean ffs, I got a mention in a thread for trying to cause ****, for writing a thread saying Syd was a top mod and poster? If anyone thinks I'm gonna sit back and take that, they're wrong.
You seem to be narked because Syd knocked you back. I suspect he was making a point about the type of thread you posted becoming more prevalent than posts about Sunderland Football Club, which is what the board is actually about. Remember that Syd has been in the middle of a lot of **** for a long time and now he's had enough. I'm not putting words into his mouth and he's more than capable of speaking up for himself. It's just that I think he's past caring...
May be the case, but not the vibe I got from him. Seemed to be much more of a snobbish way of going about things, but hey I'm not sure, I've seldom had bad things to say about Syd, I'm disappointed witht he rude way he has exited.
Syd's had it in the neck (as have the other mods) for ages and you're bitching about the point in time he said "**** it". Not your fault in this instance, but you haven't covered yourself in glory by engaging in the tit-for-tat slagging matches recently, so it's tar and brush time, I'm afraid.
Yes, your the Newcastle fan I was talking about. I mean Syd is a great guy who spends alot of time moderating this site which he should be applauded for when you see the bickering on multiple boards and he and the mods have to deal with the mess. It's obvious some of the Sunderland posters on this board don't like you and probably vice versa so it probably would be best if they banned you from the board as the bickering will keep on going on if action is not taken and more posters will leave the site.
Wouldn't have it any other way. Nowt wrong with different opinions, it's the slagging that's not right. And before you start, I know our lads kick it off plenty too. Does take the site down though.
This thread shows why I have become demotivated and decided o leave the mod world of not606. I am a snob for saying a post, about me leaving, was posted by a Newcastle fan on the Sunderland board, why was it when it was untrue. Am I leaving not606, no I am making it my second forum and giving up any responsibility for running it. I have started my own forum and was it some big master plan, no. I formed it on the 30th of July, launched it on the 31st, it one week old. Why have I made it my main forum, very simple, I am enjoying it, something I stopped doing some time ago on here. There is an arrogance, the arrogance of someone who states fact, even though its not and TBH, I cant be bothered any more so will spend my time enjoying just enjoying. Its hard work, a steep learning curve but wonderfully fulfilling. Am I being chased by anyone, certainly not, I do have a pair and for years was the angry young man who would stand my ground, fight the good fight. What far to many fail to comprehend is that sometimes we refuse to fight not because we cant but because we cant be bothered, its simply not worth it. The rules on the new forum are simple, comment, debate, laugh, cry and do it with passion, Respect everyone view because all it is is one man's opinion. Argue your case but argue it with respect. Funny thing is we have no ban on swearing, no swear filter but nobody swears, not because they cant but because they can but choose not to. I will still be popping on here just picking when and what I want to comment on. I can feel he keyboard tapping now, telling me how wrong I am, good thing is, it matter not, I no longer have to read it, I can just walk away in that stuck up, dog walking fat old man, dick head, power mad, little Hitler, cowardly way, cant say I will miss those terms of endearment I have had thrown at me over the past 18 months.
Thanks for the compliment. Not a mod on the site but an active contributor to Not606 and a shame to see some boards on the site being thrown to the gutter due to wums and childish posters ruining it for the majority.

Well it's no secret anymore, so you know where he's gone... But like Syd mentioned, he's not leaving this site, just stepping down as the site's mod. Everyone should respect his decision and thankful for his vast contribution on helping to build the site up.
Syd - I know that you are not going anywhere but in any event I would just like to say thanks for all you have done on this site and for making us new fellas feel welcome. I for one shall miss hearing about Osca and the weather in Coxhoe - perhaps you could drop by with a monthly news slot on those key issues!!!!
I'm staying here and joining the new site. Football is football after all, opinion from other clubs is normally pretty balanced and entertaining but some are just a pain.
I read more on here than I post - and even that has greatly reduced these days. Can't stand some of the personal abuse that this site is now plagued with. As for the mags I wish they'd go f~~k off onto their own boards I'm not interested in what the majority of them have to say.
