As usual UEFA get it totally wrong. Any system that has Barcelona a point better than Chelsea in 2011/2012, when we played them twice, had a draw at home and a win away against them, and then won the final, is clearly laughable.

I think it is probably because they finished second in their league and we finished 6th.

Do you really believe we are best team in Europe?!
We are up there, but the best? I know we are European Champions, but so were Porto in 2004 and Liverpool in 2005 (Not to mention Greece if we look at the international stage).
I support Chelsea with all my heart and soul, but I am also a realist.
In 2005 and 2006 I think we were the best team in Europe, with Drogba, Terry, Lampard, Makalele, Robben, Duff, Carvalho, Joe Cole etc all in their prime (except maybe Robben).

We were the best team in Europe 04-6; Barca and Milan second and third best

Hopefully soon we will be again! I like the look of our signings, they were exactly what we needed, Wide, creative midfield players to beat defenders and put balls into torres' feet, instead of high balls through the middle looking for the Drog. (not that I hated that, but we have to adapt now we have a new main striker).

Where have I said that? On the contrary, you're just clearly another moderator who makes stuff up.

Suggesting we're the third best in London suggests that you are happier as an Arsenal fan in finishing 3rd (above Spuds and ourselves) than winning trophies (us). I didn't make anything up, everyone can see that.

My point wasn't who's the best team in Europe, but simply that the EUFA judging system has no credibility. The aim is to get in the top 2 of your group, then into the last 16, then the last 8, the last 4, and then win the final. In 2011/2012,we were the only team to do all of the above. So how can Barcleona have one point more than us in this time period according to EUFA's system???
Answer, with a proper judging criteria, they couldn't.

Because it clearly takes into account domestic performances aswell, otherwise we would be top, Bayern second and Barcelona and Real joint third.
The Champions League isnt the be all end all imo. Its a money spinner for UEFA and those clubs lucky enough to qualify.

It does not take into account domestic performance

It takes into account wins, draws and defeats

    Chelsea W 7 D 4 L 2

    Barcelona W 8 D 3 L 1

So they picked up 27 pts and we picked up 25pts

That is why we are behind, because of our group stage results against the likes of Genk (1-1), Valencia (1-1) and Leverkusen (1-2)

In what way does me saying Chelsea finished the third highest London team in the prem suggest I'm happy that Arsenal finished third in the prem??

They're not linked in any way whatsoever. So your suggestion is entirely fabricated.

My point exactly, their dopey system gives you the same reward for a win in the early rounds, as in the final. How dumb is that??? Or put another way, if it was a League Barcelona would have won it. Laughable, typical EUFA.

No Real would have. They got even more wins and more points.
