I know some you may wonder how I can comment on this match without attending. Of course I have never said that a person should only report on matches he/she has at, and I also have said that anyone can have a good excuse why he/she didn't attend a match or matches. What I did notice on Saturday was the clinical finishing and scoring the penalty kicks. I thought S. Korea were exceptional and our man Ki struck home the last and probably the tensest kick with supreme skill.
So, you're happy that Ki has ruled himself out of Wednesday's CL game If it was ever in any doubt that you're a WUM, you just nailed it to the mast.
Ki wouldn't have come into contention regardless of the score in the olympics , get 6/7 million off qpr , he isn't the answer in Scottish football kick and rush style . The last pen I remember Ki taking had the fans in Celtic end taking for cover last season .
If they had gone out at the group stage, Ki could've played on Wed - he could've played if they lost the other night as well. If he's not gonna play for financial cup-tie reasons, fair enough, but I think he would be welcome on a plastic pitch.
Its not Man U or Liverpool who are looking at Ki it QPR he could have played in european games without it having an effect on a possible transfer.
I think there are one or two not showing much confidence in Neil Lennon and his preparations for a key match on Wednesday. I would have thought with an almost totally fit squad he would have been selecting from the players he has worked with since the start of pre-season and not have picked some-one who had been unfit and then away on international duty and only just able to link up on Monday.
Dev, you quite entitled to your opinion, just the same as I who wished team GB to lose. It doesn't say much for the place who give football to the world cannot beat half a country.
Without the 5 million or so Scots in the count, then South Korea is about the same size as the UK. 48 million or thereabouts.
At the start of this tournament I decided it was time to man up, put gut wrenching feelings aside, and support team GB. As dirty as it feels, I'm pretty sure the record number of Golds is down to me - me cheering with all the English lads in the office must have had some sort of influence. I did have a few uneasy moments though, with English fellas constantly referring to GB as 'England' - and the fact most of the medal winners tended to be Public Schoolboys (I'm poshist, ye know). But overall I'm glad I took that psychological step, as now I can bask in all that golden reflected glory with my fellow countrymen
Simon bhoy, I didn't realize you were a hun with medro one of your mates. Unlike Dick's brother I always want to see any team with a Celtic player playing doing well. I thought Mick would have arranged for his tax haven Isle of Man to field their own team but then again they are so stingy with their tax they have to make their own sport.
Are you not British? I thought you lived in Scotland - otherwise it would be quite difficult to get home within an hour after the game to post on not606 and moan at all us for not going to the game.
God!! Iam really sorry for mentioning that you lot had watched the game against Aberdeen either on line or on television. I really did not mean to stir up a hornets nest, I was just making a remark that for me it would be interesting to compare the on line and tv audiences comments with those who had actually attended. If I didn't know better Mick, who probably was to busy with his other hobbies but thought he would try the excuse of a full house, only for us to know the stadium was at the most 80% full. I can only apologise for the very great hurt, conscience has bestowed upon you all. Please remember you may not be able to attend every game or any game, its nothing to be ashamed of, Please don't keep dragging on your hurt, I think it is spreading and instead of us been at each others throats we should be bathing in the Celtic success.
