Would anyone now take a gamble and like to see him sign for free (all things considered), maybe El Hadji Diouf on a free and Templeton the other side of midfield?

If it was a case of starting the new season with what we have or adding Diouf I would have to take the gamble and sign him up. It does pain me to say that but I would.

As a man I despise him as a player he is class, so yes I would take him, and Paul Scharner who is still a free agent !

No. Not only is he a **** but people seem to seriously over-estimate his ability. He gets moved around so much for a reason.

But the fact is if you really have the ability people will put up with you, Diouf doesn't and we don't want a presence like that in the dressing room.

I think he's a knob and I wouldn't take him. I don't think he's good enough to break into our first team. We do need a winger but if we are to sign a striker it has to be someone who will improve the first 11 and not just the bench

Don't care whether he's any good or not. Don't care whether he's a total and utter prick or not. Just can't be bothered giving a **** about the circus he'll bring to Elland Road and having to pretend either way that I care about him. No doubt there'll be some hilarious bastards who devise some mythical Dirty Leeds status for him, and some serious Jeremies who take moral exception to his existence at Elland Road.

Me, I just want bright young players to populate our team and lead us to an era of glory. Players who don't bring with them a ton of baggage and tedium.

Well Jerel, unfortunately for you we have the wrong manager for that sort of era to occur

Hence why I pine for Simon Grayson's return. But realistically, it won't happen and Warnock's record deserves respect and a chance. I do think we need a middle-man between boardroom vision and on-pitch management, though - someone to direct the club's transfer strategy a little more closely and try focus things on the long-term future rather than the short-term turbocharge. Just not Gwyn Williams. It's worked at Newcastle and West Brom.

If Warnock does keep signing soon-will-have-beens, mind, he will bring some criticism upon himself.

Yea but simon grayson could get a team to defend so he wasn't a good enough manager for this level although I do appreciate what he did for leeds it was always his time to go

He could have done if he had even half the extra backing that Warnock's had.

I don't think he had any less backing to be honest. He just wasted it on **** like AOB and Pugh

Rubbish. The pair of them will have cost less than Peltier alone over the course of the year.

Pugh was signed for 500k. Peltier was reportedly signed for 450k with 350k add-ons. Both Pugh and AOB have prem experience and it was well known that AOB was one of our highest earners, I really don't think that statement is true and this is only 2 examples. There were plenty of players he signed that were ****

No, Pugh's transfer fee, for the umpteenth time, was around £200-300k with add-ons which could (at most) have totalled £500k. I bet his wages were minor. Combine those with nominal transfer fee AO'B's wages on average (considering they halved after his first season), and I bet there's very little difference between that total, and the total Peltier will cost over a season.

If you honestly think Warnock is working with the £12m total budget Grayson had last season, you're bonkers. None of the players I'm seeing come in will earn less than the average Grayson signing did, and there's far more being shelled out for fees.

Grayson wanted Cork and Gorkss, but didn't have the cash. Bet you my anal virginity that Warnock could have afforded those players this window along with his other targets.

I felt Grayson was the right man at that moment in time and even I have to concede he did waste a lot of cash (wages, signing on fee's). I don't believe NW has spent much over what he has saved and brought in to be honest with you. Grayson wanting Peltier a RB to play as a defensive midfielder says the man has a few weaknesses surely?
