    Elimination race up next in the Omnium, this is a fun one, last rider at the end of every lap is out, last woman standing (in this case) wins.

    Especially in events like Mens 4's rowing and Mens Team pursuit in the cycling where they have their hearts set on beating us on our own turf, only for us to steal gold <laugh>

    London 2012 highlights the importance of spelling. Team GB has just won gold. Australia has just one gold.

    How does it feel that Yorkshire have more gold medals than Australia?

    Jason Kenny has been more successful at these Olympics than Australia.

    On a serious note, the Australians are holding an official enquiry after the games as to why they've performed so badly, as we did when we had a poor Olympic games.
    An Australian journalist has said they've lost some of there top coaches to foreign countries, we have their best sailing coaches, and China have their swimming coaches,
    I think the Australians are pretty shell shocked at the moment.

    Level with Beijing now after winning the Triathlon. What athletes those guys are. Must be hellishly difficult to do an event like that.

    Indeed, I'd struggle to move after a 1500m swim, never mind then doing a 40km bike ride and a 10k run.

    At one time the Australians were dominant in the swimming, which is now not the case, so I can see why they are going to look into it.
    Listening to the coach of our cyclist earlier as soon as Olympics finish they look to what they need do for next competition and while all the focus is on the cyclist, the backroom boys are mega in our success.

    GB look set to win gold in the team dressage competition. For all I found the showjumping tense (willing our guys not to hit a fence and praying the opposition knocked down as many as possible), I really don't understand this dancing horses thing, They all look the same to me. Still, since the viewing choices are very limited viewing right now, might aswell see if we can go one better than Beijing.

    Laura Trott wins the Omnium in amazing style, winning the last race, with her closest opponent coming in the 4th place Trott needed to get the gold!
