IMO we are in big, big, big trouble

The days of selling our best players to fund other signings, should be well and truly over, and it NEVER works, all that happens is you become less good, ie Alonso,Torres,Masch

If Agger goes for any amount of money.............FSG should follow, it is very clear they wont back the club financially ,no new stadium, no big signings ,o big wages

LFC will NEVER EVER win the League with FSG,anyone who thinks different is f**kin mental

    So...
    - We haven't sold any of our best young players yet
    - We're very strongly rumoured to be signing Gaston Ramirez
    - There have been no quotes from Agger, Reina, Suarez etc our best senior players that they are disillusioned. They all look like they are staying.
    - We have a very promising, young, up-and-coming coach

At least wait until halfway through the ****ing season before you start whinging. Jesus Christ, some of you so called Liverpool fans do my head in on here.

so just because they are better than H&G that makes them great? FSG did us no favour, they bought us at a knock down price and have yet to invest anything bar a token 20million net

  7. I love Agger and certainly don't want to see him leave. However, he is a liability with his injuries and if someone is willing to give us £30m+ then I'd certainly be telling him to pack his bags!

People say it would disrupt the side, well it would disrupt the side if he stays put because he is always ****ing injured! My only concern would be about replacing him, I wouldn't want to see Carragher and Skrtel as first choice CB's. Coates...? Not sure him alongside Skrtel would work. Kelly and Wilson are a good back up options but both too fresh to be considered first choice.

  8. Who said they were great...? I just think people should be a little more respectful that we don't have people like T&G in charge now. FSG are looking to build for the future using youth and a business approach rather than throwing money at a project - aka Man City or Chelsea!

Can I ask how old you are? Seriously, you sound like a 12 year old. WAHHH WHY AREN'T WE SIGNING AGUERO, SILVA, HULK AND MESSI.

As of yet we aren't going to challenge. We need to get Champions League football within the next 2 years to be able to splash the cash a little more. For now we have to be conservative in our signings, do what Benitez did. He signed young mediocre players and sold them for a profit so he could keep generating cash and improving upon the squad. We can't buy the league, this is a long term project and I have faith in it.

It depends who we replace him with.

Agger is one of my favourite players but he averages about 20 games a season and commands a large fee. It makes sense, unfortunately.

Like FSG were respectful to Kenny after flying him to the US to sack him? I am thankful H&G have gone but FSG have done nothing to earn my respect, they bought liverpool FC because we were bargain basement because of the bank writing down our debt, not because they wanted to do us a favour. I wish they would stop with the rhetoric of titles and top 4 then if they're building for the future. Transfers aside, KK had a good thing going until they sacked him for not getting 4th, only for them now to replace him with an inexperienced man and give him **** all money to work with.

  14. I agree about flying Kenny to America to sack him and also thought Kenny deserved another season, but FSG are looking to build for the future. Yes that got the club for a bargain price but it is still an investment they made and, in their eyes, a business they want to make money from. Ultimately, to make money, you have to be successful. I just don't see the reasoning in wanting them out, especially after what the ****wits did before them <doh>

I dont think you need to get personal as this is supposed to be a forum and people should be allowed their opinions. I started a similar thread the other day and for me it is not a question of who we are signing it is a question of who we are letting out the back door, and the signals it sends to the rest of the team.

If we are going to let Agger go then the only teams we should be selling him to should be European, selling our best players to another English side speaks volumes about our intesions. Champions League football should not be two seasons away. But for some rotten luck and Suarez s ban last year there is a good chance we would have got it last year.

There were a lot of games towards end of season where it is clear we were not trying (rightly or wrongly) which is probably a reason for some dodgy results as we really had nothing to play for.

There is not much pressure on BR so I think he should be pushing for CL, but selling our best to our rivals cannot surely be the right step forward (if it happens)

Kenny blew a **** ton of money that's why. I'm sure they're probably a bit hesistant in throwing money around again. Also don't give me that **** about net spend/gross spend, at the end of the day he spent over the odds on average players (something we are very careful not to do this season it would seem, Gylfi for example).

I would prefer sensible owners who learn from their mistakes as opposed to a gung ho approach that will leave us in a pit of debt in 10 years time and very little to show for it.

I just think it's ridiculous that people are reacting so stupidly to a rumour that hasn't really shown any signs of fruitition. We don't need short-sighted fans spouting bollocks like 'FSG out', because they're the sort of fans who will want Rodgers out if he doesn't get top 5, and they are probably the same idiots who booed Lucas a few years back.

I apologise for being personal, it's my fault because I'm not very good at tolerating ignorance and ****posting.

I get the impression that some people are deluding themselves. We will win nothing this season, we won't get 4th, ignore Stevie G, he is a moron. We will be lucky to finish top half this year, so if the big players want to go , let them, and let us build a new team. We are already in big big trouble, with or without Agger, haven't you seen us play this season? We are dire and clueless, and with another couple of new faces to still come in, we will be in the very same position as last season under Kenny, where the midfield and attack are all learning about each other. Agger hasn't got long to actually win something, so let him go with our blessing, as he is not going to win anything here before he is 30 and on the way down. So accept that the lad has given his all for this club, and let him go win something while he can.

I really don't know what people are actually expecting this season, but it won't be pretty, it won't be attractive, and it won't be very successful.
