Not too unhappy about this story. Any player who prefers to play in the Championship is welcome to it. Byeeeeeeee.
Still a great player as we've seen in the Olympics but he's going to want 1st team football at his age and I'd rather hoilett in that position on the left, and cisse as front striker. Probably why he's going to BAAdiff instead, home town and he'll be star player...
With Hoillett, Mackie, SWP, Cisse, AJ and Traore another wide man / or striker of his kind, doesn't look to be our biggest priority now, but he would be good to have!
Good player but old and again in the position where we are strongest. We dont need any more wide forwards/midfielders.
Looked great for team GB but definitely runs out of puff after an hour so. Don't think another winger is a priority, give me another CB and some back up for Zamora and I'll be happy.
He'd be a great poster boy for our new "Global Brand". Those strong, chiselled good looks, oozing charisma and charm. Mr QPR?
We already have enough options in the positions that Bellamy plays so this it will be good news if he goes elsewhere. A CB should be our priority now. Interesting to read in the article that Liverpool are reluctant to sell to "one of their PL rivals".... are we that good?!
Local hero: Bellamy rejects QPR's £60k-a-week to earn half that at Cardiff Striker is going 'home' to help Bluebirds chase promotion to the Premier League despite a much more lucrative offer from Hoops Craig Bellamy is turning down a staggering £60,000-a-week offer to be reunited with Mark Hughes at QPR to sign for his beloved hometown club Cardiff. Liverpool's Welsh dragon has his heart set on going back to his roots, despite a remarkable personal offer from ambitious Rangers. Bellamy is agreeing a package at Cardiff where his wages will be less than a half of what he could earn at Loftus Road - although there will also be other incentives for him. Bellamy claimed 'unfinished business' when a year-long loan spell at Cardiff from Manchester City in 2010-2011 ended in play-off semis defeat, and he now aims to see that job through. The Championship club are still pushing the boat out for him by their standards, but the move is only happening because Bellamy is putting his heart ahead of his wallet. The 33-year-old, who played for fellow Welshman Hughes at Blackburn and Manchester City, has finalised his exit from Liverpool after playing for Great Britain in this summer's Olympic Games. Bellamy could be one of many forwards leaving Liverpool, with Juventus eyeing Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll also linked with a move away. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rc...lYHABg&usg=AFQjCNE4EB58aAEIYFAYCL2r51-ilddhGQ
I reckon we haven't even spoken to Bellamy. All amit said was he is one of a zillion names on our list and then all this crap appears in the press.
I got that from the interview as well. I wondered if they thought if we drop his name we could get on with getting the players they want with out the hassle of the press. I would really like another younger striker in like most people on this site
I like the look of Jordan Rhodes, pretty tidy player and possibly worth a gamble. But when I see a story about Blackburn offering £6million + add ons for a player who's only been tested at league 1 level, I feel the world is going mad.......
We can't by rights have wanted a player who has as chequered a disciplinary record as Barton can we? OK. He can be great on his day but how many of those does he have? By my thoughts, no more than 8-10 per season. He didn't even set the championship alight when he was there last time. He's played for more clubs than I've had hot dinners and is universally considered to be a bit of a ****er. Enjoy your retirement Bellamy, you won't be missed.
That's a harsh disciplinary code - did Brendan Rodgers hate his players appearing for Team GB that much?
