It's clearly just a very tedious matter of semantics. Either he actually believes that you think we literally have 0% chance of winning the Man City game, or you both actually believe the same thing, which is "obviously we have a very slim chance, but Man City are clear favourites and the whole world expects them to win". If the latter is true, and I think it is, then he's getting pissed off by the mere phrasing of your opinion, as he is incapable of recognising hyperbole. Most pointless argument ever. Probably even more pointless than the one he had with me.
That's what's confusing me, I pointed it out a few posts back but I think it got ignored. It is very pointless, but if I just replied to his post with another throwaway sandy vagina comment he'd give me another personal attack which would shrink my e-penis a bit. Can't be having that.
Clichy's scored about 3 goals in his career, Kolarov got that last season. Kolarov is a set piece expert and although he's more likely to be caught out of position, I think our defence would be less under threat with Clichy in the LB position and I think Clyne can take on either full back.
"Does anyone want to help me out? I'm trying to find what his actual point is but I'm really struggling." ...anyway.... You are taking this waayyyy too far. The funny thing is that after repeating my self about 50 times, you STILL haven´t understood why I said that about "having a ****ing awful attitude". Are you having me on? because I find it very hard to believe that you are really that stupid.... and I am definitely not explaining it again. So all your mumble jumble that follows is not valid. All the bit about you thinking I´m being literal is nonsense, as I´m talking about the attitude of people, the negativity, not about the factualness of what they say. Anyway, this is really, really simple. This all started because I said about people "having a ****ing awful attitude". So please tell me by saying "when we lose 4-0" and "we´ll be shipping in goals" is not negative nor showing a poor attitude. THAT is what I´m trying to prove. If saying "we´ll be shipping in goals" is positive and good attitude to have then I will agree that I´m completely wrong.
We probably will be beaten pretty soundly though. It's just called being realistic. We all hope that Saints will pull off a surprise, that goes without saying (unless of course you're Alan, in which case apparently you have to say), but all sane people expect City to win that game. It's like saying "Romney is going to destroy Obama in Texas". We all know there's no guarantee of it, but come on, it's going to happen.
Thinking we're going to lose doesn't mean you're showing a ****ing awful attitude. That's that. I'm really not going into this further because I can't be bothered. If you want to count this as a victory to you, well done, I'm a disgrace.
I'm thinking goalless first half as Saints start brightly and City don't get into gear straight away, but then City turn it on and score twice in the second half. We'll be slightly bummed about the way that it happened, but generally pleased with the team's showing. Alan will cry.
He WILL, WILL he? That's a ****ing awful attitude to say he will, I think we will but you can't say we will because we might not.
Victory? wtf? This isn´t a World War. "Thinking we're going to lose doesn't mean you're showing a ****ing awful attitude. That´s that." So that is your argument? oh dear. That just shows that you have no idea what we are arguing about and you have no idea what my point is because I´ve not said at one single point that "thinking we´re going to lose means you´re showing a ****ing awful attitude". So, if you don´t know what my point is (when it´s very simple and clear) then there is no point in arguing. Ciao.
Absolutely correct, it's far from being a world war. You're both Southampton fans on a Southampton forum, so it's quite clearly a civil war.
How old are you? It's just that you seem really immature. Considering that I think there is big chance we´ll lose why would I cry??
I think we'll be soundly beaten (not hoping) but it would be good to see some positives i.e. a goal, or at least to trouble them which will bode well when we are playing teams that aren't the champions. I definitely think we will trouble teams attacking wise, its just the old chesnut of the defense that worries me and it would seem most other fans at the moment.
If we get something at The Etihad, then we could get ahead of ourselves so I think it may be best in the long run to get beaten by a couple of goals but take away some positives from the match.
