Day 10 dawns and it will be a bit quiter butwe still have medal chances with Tweddle in Gymnastics, Kenny in the Velodrome and in Showjumping.
He's going to need to perform much, much better than in the SFs, but you can't discount Dai Green. And there's Holly Bleasdale too.
Don't forget the sailors. I'm not sure how far along their events they are, but I'd be surprised if there are not another one or two golds almost nailed on.
Hi TSS. I haven't but I'd be surprised if we medalled (is that a word?) today. Definitely later in the week though.
Hi Lamb. It's a US-English word, meaning to win some sort of trophy or medal of some description. The one that it gets confused with is the English term for the uninvited interfering into another's affairs - to meddle. On the other hand, we've got plenty of medal potential in the sailors this week, if as you say, not today. Jason Kenny, in Track Cycling is a good bet for a gold, although he's got a bloody good World Champion French guy to beat. It's the Men's Sprint, over 3 laps, and usually they play cat and mouse for the first 2. Last time out, before the Olympics, Kenny blitzed the entire 3 laps leaving the French bloke [Gregory Bourge..?] stunned in his wake.
I think he's referring to Lawrence Okoye, a discuss thrower. He's a boy who ate his greens (and quite a few other colours as well probably).
