It does seem as though all potential targets are fraught with danger and doom-laden risk; in these difficult times we would be best to shun all outsiders as they may be fifth columnists who will pull down the pillars. Let's just stay with who we have, we can't trust others. :-/
If he was consistent in any way whatsoever, then Arsenal would have kept him or he'd be at another Champion's League club who wouldn't part with him. Not worth the time, money or hassle IMO.
Its hilarious to listen to the commentators have a go at him, at least half the time hes the worst player on the park making SWP look like Messi. He will look great every now and then but more often than not is woeful. Over 30, lazy, overpaid. There is nothing to like about this.
He likes something, think of SWPs last season but with 1/4 of the effort. He will become an instant boo boy if he signs.
He was very impressive in the Euro's, and can create plenty of goal-scoring chances out of nothing, which is something we are short of. Of course money is a big hurdle, but he is still a very fine player; maybe not for us, but there are still a few good seasons left in him.

Fantastic player when played in his prefered position behind the striker. Totally wasted on the flank, which is where Wenger has played him 90% of the time. Once played behind the striker he can score a hat trick at Anfield, oh he did that already. Well then he's not good enough for us Can't see this happening as surely MH must see that we're well set in this department.

Mackie 24 starts, 7 goals, 3 assists Buz 10 starts, 2 goals, 2 assists He offers us nothing and would be 5th choice ahead of only SWP and that would be in doubt if SWP keeps up his form. Scoring a hatrick once every few years is useless if you do the square root of **** all in every other game.
