    Well done John Joe Nevin.

Hopefully we'll have marvellous Monday with potentially 2 more medals (Katie and Annalise). Fingers crossed for both of them.

Excellent performance by Nevin. Lets hope he can go on to get a silver or gold. Paddy Barnes, Annalise Murphy and Katie Nolan to make it 4 medals???

Sounds like he's punch drunk. He must have been in Croke Park yesterday! Are you getting Katie Taylor and Adam Nolan mixed up Ciarrai?

Don't forget the 4th boxer in the quarter finals, Conlan. The second lad from Belfast. He's one win away from a medal as well.

Thanks for the good wishes Staines. You Brits are doing well and putting on a great show. Long may it last.

we havent seen much of the boxing so far on the BBC, but the quarter finals are coming up now - and the British contingent are doing well so far. I think Nevin could meet Campbell in the final if both win their semi-finals

Yes, Nevin meets a Cuban in his semi and Campbell meets a Japanese in his semi. If they both win, they fight each other in the final.

In the ladies quarter finals, the darling of the Irish team Katie Taylor meets a British girl. Can't think of the British girl's name but she is from Liverpool. Think they fight at 2.30 this afternoon.

Hard luck Annalise. Finished fourth overall in the sailing. Best result in sailing for Ireland since 1980.

Disappointed for her. Just took the wrong line on the home downward leg (look at me, a sailing expert after half an hour!). Let's hope the wind blows hard in Rio!

Right, now let's focus on Katie......

Not sure where i got Nolan from! Katie is some performer. Felt really sorry for Annalise. Feel really sorry for myself after yesterday's defeat to Donegal. Don't like what football has turned into.

    Well done Katie, my love.

Ireland HAS to be top of the Olympics per-capita medals table at this stage, huh? Before I get too excited I must check the population on Moldova......
